The second time the Geek Squad guy showed up in a little over a year (Best Buy, Nashville West), the Geek said he could already smell cat pee (he was 25 feet from the front door, which I had just opened) and he refused to come in and connect the TV to the stereo. He said he'd been here before and the house reeked of cat pee. Said two guys had been here before and had to take two sick days to recover from breathing in the pee. NOT!) Funny, all the people who had been in this house before — neighbors, technicians, deliveries, etc. — never mentioned the pee even once. Never refused to help me out.
I had waited two weeks for the Geek Squad to come out and install a new TV. My old one had been electrocuted by lightning. This morning, when they were scheduled to show up, the Geek called again and said they weren't coming and if I ever bought anything at Nashville West Best Buy in the future, the Squad would not come and install it. Sour grapes... or cats.
I canceled the purchase and bought the TV someplace else.
Hey Best Buy Nashville West: somebody in your Geek Squad is costing you money! In my case, it was $2200.
Recommendation: I just looked at the Best Buy Nashville West satisfaction ratings and they are appalling. My recommendation is to go to another Best Buy or buy from Costco, which I have done, or Electronic Express.
