DO NOT EVER BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY. CHECK WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND YOU'LL SEE WHY YOU SHOULD STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS YOU CAN. DON'T THINK THAT YOUR LOCATION IS GOING TO BE ANY BETTER THAN ANY OTHER LOCATION. BEL FURNITURE HAS MANY LOCATIONS AND THEY ARE ALL GOVERNED BY THE CORPORATE LOCATION, SO THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE USED FOR ALL THE LOCATIONS. Any postings of 'good' transactions are more than likely the employees of Bel Furniture playing on the Internet trying to lure in unsuspecting people to run their scams on them. We spent over $3, 000.00 on an entertainment center. The day it was delivered, the bottom TV hutch and the right china hutch pier were damaged (doors wouldn't close and stay closed, scratches that looked like they'd tried to repair them, an electric cord to the lights that was too short to make the connection across the top of the unit, etc.). We spoke to customer service who assured us that this kind of thing never happens and they would send out replacement pieces. So, we waited for another week, because they only deliver to our zip code once a week, and the pieces they sent out to replace the damaged pieces were in worse shape than the one's they'd delivered the week before, so we refused them right there in the street by the truck. In the meantime, the house is all amiss because the TV and everything else that goes into the entertainment center can't be put up because we're waiting for the damaged pieces to be replaced. After the last damaged ones showed up the second time, and they told us that it would be another week before they would 'be out our way again', we again spoke to customer service and got nothing but a smart a$$ named Nicole, who had apparently been this route before and knew exactly what buttons to push in shoving it all back on us. Nicole did nothing to rectify the situation, she did nothing to make up for the mistakes that were made by the company and the hassles it has caused us, NOTHING !!! After that, we decided that we wanted our money back and we went to the location that we'd purchased the furniture from, so that we could cancel the deal and arrange for them to come and pick up their crappy furniture they left at our house. While we were standing there waiting to cancel our order and schedule for them to come and pick up the furniture from our house, another customer was there and we got to hear what she'd been going through with Bel Furniture. She'd been going round and round with customer service for weeks and weeks trying to get her furniture repaired that was damaged when they dropped it off. Suffice to say that Bell Furniture has never fulfilled their part of the deal, which was to deliver to us merchandise that was free from defects in material and workmanship. We paid our money, paid for delivery, took off work to wait for the delivery guys (who were a$$ holes to us when we complained about the damage furniture), then we waited another week for the replacements and took off work again to be home for the delivery, only to see that right when they brought them off the truck, they too were damaged. Literally, the one side of the TV stand looked like it had been damaged and someone put wood putty on it and then spray painted over the wood putty. And now, they're telling us that if we cancel the order, that we have to pay almost $1, 000.00 in restocking fees and other fees they've tacked on and for what???? All because they delivered poor quality damaged furniture and we refused to pay them over $3, 000.00 for it. DON'T TAKE ANY CHANCES WITH THIS COMPANY. THIS IS NOT OVER FOR US, BUT YOU CAN SAVE YOURSELF ALOT OF TIME, MONEY AND HEART ACHE BY STAYING FAR, FAR AWAY FROM BEL FURNITURE STORE. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER PLACES TO DO BUSINESS THAT YOU WON'T HAVE THIS KIND OF PROBLEM. WE'VE BOUGHT ALOT OF FURNITURE OVER THE YEARS IN HOUSTON AND THIS WAS THE FIRST AND THE LAST TIME WE WILL EVER DO BUSINESS WITH BEL FURNITURE AND WE WILL BE FILING A BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO'VE BEEN WRONGED BY THEM.
