Bealls review: return / bealls bucks

I went to return an item I bought a few days before and they took it back but I distinctly asked them what will happen with my bealls bucks, I earned from an over 50 dollar sale, they told me if I buy something the same amount or more that the bucks wont be lost, the manager confirmed it as I asked the cashier too call him, because I have received wrong info before. well low and behold when I went to use my bells bucks the other day, they told me they are invalid, because of a return and would not honor it. this is the 4th time I have lost bells bucks for one reason or another, one time it was that it was only good for 2 days after I earned it and I couldnt make it back to the store for 4 days and the manager would not honor it. and believe me they know me there because of how frequently i shop there.
This bucks thing is beginning to look like a scam. there must be a way to return items and if you respend the amount of the return or do an exchange the bucks should still be good, even if the manager initials it or something.
Lets face it the prices in your store are quite high and its a great advantage to shop there if you can avail yourself of the coupons and bucks, its not like there isnt other stores like kohls and Belk that i can switch to.
If I dont hear from you and end up losing the bucks that, incidentally dont expire to 4/2/20, I will cut up my charge and go elsewhere.
