I'm writing in regards to an issue I encountered during my stay of 7/17 at the Baymont Inn Corydon, Indiana
While traveling, on business, I reserved two rooms (303 & 317) for the night of 7/17. During the middle of the night (about 3am) I was awoken by a feeling of something pulling at my shirt... while I was asleep in bed. I then heard a strange scurrying noise in the room (303). I turned on the light and observed a live white rat moving about the room, it had obviously been in the bed while I was sleeping! It continued to move around behind the furniture for a bit before finally jumping up onto the nightstand next to the bed! At this point I grabbed my bag and exited the room. I went to the lobby and informed the night clerk that there was a live rat in my room! His response was, "how big is it?" I asked for, and eventually received another room so I could get a couple of hours of sleep before our early departure. Before reluctantly giving me a new room, the clerk actually asked, "do you want me to see if I can catch it and throw it out of the window?"
We had to be on the road, for business, by 6am, so was unable to speak with upper management in person, however, please know I've never experienced anything on this level in years of travel. I am asking for a refund for the amount charged to my card due to this bizarre and unacceptable incident. I hope this situation is rectified and no one else has to experience this. I appreciate your time. Please advise if you need any further information. The room confirmation number if needed was 81682EC024199.
