Does Not Stand Behind Work!
We had Atlas install a stamped concrete patio in 2010. Installation went OK, other than the excess concrete they dumped on the path into our woods. However there are now two significant cracks up to 10 ft long in the patio, and Steve is nowhere to be found. I contacted him eight times over a two-month period trying to get him out to fix these under his warranty, but he refuses to return calls. I see others have posted similar experiences online. I cannot recommend Atlas based on this.
Poor job and failed to meet city code
This is the worst company and the owner lied and failed to correct his work cost me over 10, 000 after i paid him. he says he is out of business but his web site is still there and see his truck everywhere so be careful as his work will not pass the city requirments steve is the owner and will promise you everything but not deliver I have water that drains the wrong way off the cement into the house and he will tell you he is going to do the job and instead have some young kids do the work and they dont know what there doing.
I am the current home owner of the address he uses on all of his business forms and my first name also happens to be Steve. I purchased the home out of foreclosure in 2009 and still get mail and people knocking on my door looking for him to this day. I would recommend staying away.
The same thing happened to me as well in 2014. His work is so bad that I have to remove the patio completely after less than a year. It is so unlevel that it is noticeable to the eye (4.75 inch drop over 16 feet in two directions forming a large cupped area), drains back to the house, cracked and color faded among other things. Not to mention doing an excessive amount of damage to my yard in the process with heavy machinery. Steve has not called me back since I paid him almost a year ago. He does not stand behind his work or honor his warranty in my experience. I would suggest staying away from Atals Concrete Designs, Steve Blaszczak or any of his affiliated companies (he mentioned that he also has a tree trimming businss as well called Life and Limb Tree Experts). Steve Blaszczak will probably disappear after he is paid and will probably never call you back. I have noticed that he is quite skilled at lying, deception and disappearing. He has changed his company name in the past as well so be careful (Atlas Foundations). I have never had a worse experience with any contractor for anything in all my years. It has cost me thousands of dollars not to mention a lot of hassle. Now I have to pay $1500 to have it removed. Be careful, he claims to be based out of the Novi, Michigan area, but who knows where that guy is.
