Apache OpenOffice review: Save yourself the migraine and just buy microsoft office!

Even the old Notepad is WAY better than OpenOffice! You need to read about 200 forum posts without any solutions to even be able to write simple text at all... There's just app-specific settings that mess with regular use that can't be turned off at all, and some settings require the re-installation of the software. This app is absolutely horrible, and I wish they would remove this shameful product from existence!
