On 30th May 2026 Anyvan were due to arrive between 0900 and 1200 to move the contents of a flat to a new house. Monitoring their movement online it was saying they were on time, although it showed there were 5 jobs before ours, and the vehicle did not start moving until well after 0900. We spoke on at least 4 occasions with the driver on the phone, who told us on every occasion we were next, or one more job. Every time he went on several other trips. At approximately 1140 he said he was on the way. By 1200 he was still doing other jobs, and the website said he was on time. We called Anyvan to complain and they said they would try to arrange another van. Meanwhile the website still said it was on time, and he finally arrived at 1530 - 3.5 hours late. The website specifies that if there are any delays they will contact us immediately. There was not one proactive call from Anyvan throughout. On arrival, it was obvious that the van was too small. The 2 man team crammed the van without any care, and had to leave several latge items behind including the baby cot. I was assured by an agent at Anyvan we receive compensation. Once the goods were 'delivered' - basically emptied as fast as possible and dumped in piles, with a sofa damaged and a chest of drawers runners broken - they left. The following day I started the process of trying to get compensation - after having to make two runs in our own car to get the remaining items that wouldn't fit in the van - and have yet to get a manager from Anyvan to call me. They've refunded £28 as the missed the time slot, and after further complaints they have offered an addition £50 - so £78 in total on a bill of over £360. Ans still they refuse to get a manager to talk with me. It sounds like all calls are to a South African call centre, where usuall the wait is around 20 minutes unless you press 1 which makes them think you are making a new booking. The Whatsapp link can take between 15 minutes and 12 hours to get a response, and they still refuse to get someone to speak with me. They do not care - and interestingly the driver claimed (although I have no proof he is being honest) - that on a £360 job he was only getting £50 from Anyvan. They clearly will use anybody who has their own van - absolutely no control over the crews they supply as they are all self employed - and they put profit before service,
I deeply regret going for the cheap option - it would have been bvetter to pay double or triple to use a removal company of professionals who arrived on time, did the job properly, and left us without the stress and frustration created by Anyvan and the people they choose to contract. They appearance of efficient communication is entirely false and misleading - they simply do not care and I can only hope that people stop supporting this terrible company.

Desired outcome: To actually speak with a manager or supervisor. Not a call centre. Primarily I want the opportunity to discuss the shortfalls in the service, and to discuss appropriate compensation. I also wish to discuss the behaviour of their crew.
