Angry Squid Ink - Screen printing
June 2015: Artsy Geek receives an order for a large number of tote bags, with the AG-designed client logo printed on them, including contact information. Artsy Geek designer Lindsey Gatz selects the company Angry Squid Ink, owned by Brian Morales, to perform the printing.
July 2015: Throughout the month, Jennifer Heller, owner of Artsy Geek, tries to get the owner of Angry Squid, Brian Morales to provide a proof and to confirm the artwork. Jennifer calls, emails and texts repeatedly; Brian is very slow to respond and never confirms artwork.
August 2015: Out of the blue, the tote bags arrive in Oakland with the logo printed on the bag, but no contact information. Brian Morales agrees to perform a second round of printing at no cost so as to include the contact information. AG sends the bags back to Washington on August 4. They arrive on August 16.
September 15, 2015: The bags arrive back in Oakland. Inspection reveals that they now bear the client's contact information. However, on most of the bags the contact information is poorly aligned with the logo. Only a small percentage of the bags prove usable. AG writes off the charges to the client. Lindsey Gatz complains to Brian Morales, who verbally agrees to refund the entire printing fee of $2525.
Jennifer Heller of AG attempts to follow up when the refund fails to arrive, receiving no answer.
AG issues an invoice for the sum Brian Morales had agreed to refund, but receives no answer.
