AmeriSpec Home Inspection Service review: Home inspection

We purchased a home in 2019. We used Amerispec as our Home Inspector prior to making an offer. Through our ownership we have discovered a myriad of things that we thought should have been noted by the Inspector. All of which didnt rise to the level of making a complaint. However, we recently had a sewer smell in our upstairs bathrooms - we contacted a plumber. In his dilligence of trying to discover issue, he looked into the two attic spaces and within 5 seconds determined that plumbing vent/stack was non existent. He went out onto the roof as well to make sure he didnt miss it and he didnt. He then had to start opening up walls and discovered as he expected that the vents were just built into the walls with no valves - so wide open into the attic. This should have been picked up by the Home Inspector 100% prior to our purchase. We are on village septic so the entire street gas could enter our home. This put our lives in danger. I am now in the process of paying plumbers and roofers to have vented to roof of house. I am also raging mad, and Im sure you know the dangers and health issues this could have caused. The Home Inspector should have noted no stack in the attic when he checked it. He made note of insulation levels but not of this issue.
