Airtel simcard registration failed

I am using Airtel prepaid card from Bangalore. Currently I am in Maharashtra for my project work. I was using this sim in maharashtra as well on roaming. But suddenly my mobile is showing me sim card registration failed and I am not able to use the sim card anymore.

Please let me know how I can activate the sim again. I am having the balance on this sim and also the validity is till Dec 2008. This is very important number as it's being used for all official calls. For next 3 months I will be in Pune regarding my work so I don't want to miss any calls on this number.

Please tell me what is the procedure to get it activate again from Pune.

Airtel simcard registration fail

The problem is same here that i right now i am using Airtel prepaid Simcard [protected] from Bangalore. And now i am currently in North-East india, shillong and i am using this number since then, as well as in roaming. Just one week back my simcard showing me as registration fail and i am feeling right now really pissed off with this Airtel Service. I don't understand why this Airtel service are doing to the costumer like this. I have used this simcard for official purpose also and now i have a problem with One Time Password(OTP) in this number.
I don't know why they do like this. The Airtel representative are really an a######. It has been one month now. No problem is solved.

Can someone out there in Airtel service activate my simcard [protected] now. Its very urgently required

Airtel seems to be making it a habit to rob its customers of all the talk time in their cards by recycling their card (on claims of not receiving address proof) this after having submitted all documents. Even if it were true the first step to be taken is to bar calls and not recycle a card taking with it all the talk time in it. Googel Sim registration failed airtel and u find 11800 hits if they were to do this to 10000 customers who each have 100 talktime they make a cool 10 lakh more to their profits, i guess thats how they intend funding the zain buyout and make the march quarter results look good. Bloody crooks

Airtel tower problem

annamalai nagar tower in tamilnadu. full signal but no incoming. the dailer is listened out of coverage. no out going's.for about 6month's. number of time's complained.but no action taken. my mobile no. [protected]. alternate no. [protected], [protected].

I do not get any network coverage when i am at my office. Although my office is in proper town in Kolkata. I have complain about this to the airtel costumer care executive without any result.

we are using Airtel 3G data card in Salem Steel Plant township the signal is very poor. Airtel should strengthen the signal, other wise Airtel will loose the business in the township, salem steel plant, salem-636 030.

they made aggerement and got sign, july month, they have launched the material for the installation work,
but i didn't get any advance amount or rental amount
regading your tower.
i went egmore office, tamil nadu, they didn't give any responce. kindly give higher officials,

Airtel irresponsible service!

I am having a post paid connection of airtel, last month when i received my bill immediately without any delay i drop my cheque in drop box, after 2 days i received a call from airtel office that i payees name on the cheque is wrong instead of airtel it should be Bahrtiairtel. So the cheque they are sending me back, i received that cheque on 7th morning same day. I again dropped in the drop box as informed me the airtel executive after writing bhartiairtel on that on 14th morning. Again i received a call that they have not received the cheque, i called at least 6-7 times to airtel call center to track my cheque nut no body has responded me. That i have been informed that payees name was right, earlier cheque was rejected because signature was not matching, here i have been misinformed by the airtel executive, because 15th was the last date of payment and till 14 night they have received the cheque, so i blocked my cheque 15 morning, n issued a new cheque hoping that earlier cheque have been misplaced but as soon as i blocked my cheque i received a message from airtel that they have received tah payment, in fact the suggestion to block the cheque have been given by airtel exequtive. Now i have to apply late payment n cheque bounce penalty also, n till date no body has came to my house to collect the cheque although i have registered three times for cheque pick up.

airtel service use karke hume bilkul bhi mza nhi aya... jab bhi net use karo to intna slow chalta hai ki poocho mat...jaisi apki slow service hai waise hi net bhi slow hai... jab bhi net lagwana ho to apki service sabse aage hoti hai or jab net dissconet karwana hai to aap log net nhi kaat rhe.. 1 maheene se net disconnet karne ki request bheji thi even aaplication bhi di ... phir bhi aap log faltu ka bill dal rhe hai. or to or net bhi disconnet nhi kar rhe.. hai ! hai! airtel service koi bhi na lagwae... apni service mein sudhar laow... or costomer ko tang karna band karo...hm

From last 3 mnths i am using a 95 sms plan. without any notice my amount was deducted from my actual from my normal balace. when i called your customer care they informed me that your service has been stopped for 1 day( 1st aug) . thats friendship day. if we cant use ur service for such occasion its useless service then.

in 2007 an agreement was written between dharamshala nathu mal narayan das and airtel company to rent my place to install a tower, two wrong named pay order draft were sent to me, which i sent them back. after that i tried to contact them a number of times but it was never considered and not respond too.
its realy a very irresponsible attitude .i request you to consider my complait as i m still bound, niether ican use my this very spot nor getting any further process from your company. i have sent 1 complaint already in the month of june & din't get any reply. please do consider my request

I made a payment of Rs. 620 for the previous month of April 2008.I received an sms from you confirming receipt of the same.I also received a receipt from you after several follow ups.I am surprised to note that the same amount of Rs 620/- has been added to my current bill.Moreover I am not able to access Airtel Live and also not able to download music.

Airtel deceptive subscription of tune!

This is to beware you that don't go for airtel mobile service in at least Himachal Pradesh circle. Six months ago I subscribed a postpaid connection from airtel. Since then I'm receiving promotions calls from them. I requested number of times to Airtel customer care and they didn't reacted at all. I believe they do not understand a simple word 'NO'. More soever in November 2007 they subscribe the tune themselves and charged Rs 200/- Plus for that. SO JUST BEWARE OF AIRTEL.

be aware all the airtell sim user, without any call and sms they automatically charged money, this happened to me many times, as i was using the air tel sim for the last many years. many a times i rechared my sim, after some time when i looked at my balance amount it deducted money. last time i rechare for 230 talk time, the next day my only balance remain Rs64. i did not make any call which could deduct my balance amount such a low. this is frustating, so i am planning to throw away my airtel. air tel is the no. one cheater in himachal

Airtel wrong deduction of money

My mobile no 1s [protected].and 7 nov-2007 I have received a call from airtel office mohali regarding net on phone service but I have all ready register on NDNC from dated 20th sep 2007 and its register no is S1000287596.
And next day of the calling on my account airtel deducted RS 99. when I call on airtel they note my complaint and its no is [protected] on date 12th nov 2007 write down by miss minakshi and she give me the time of resolving the problem 14th nov 2007 at 16:10 pm. But the problem is not solved.
So I called again and again but every body trying to give me LOLLIPOPS

According to DNS your call on dated 07th nov-2007 is illegal and punishable offence

Airtel deactivation of vas pack facility

Dear Sir or Madam,

To day i received the message from 543212 " on my airtel mobile no. "+[protected] "your subscription to vas pack 30 has been renewed." on dt. 17/11/07 16:05 PM. but i had already deactivated this facility by ur customer care on dt. 19/10/07 & 20/10/07. they told me that ur vas pack has been deactivated and in future not any amount will be deducted in ur balance in this regard. i also received the reference no in this regard by sms from u ( by 121 ) which is [protected]" .

by mistake the vas pack facility has been activated on my no. i till now aware ur this pack facility nor i used this on single time . i does'nt want this facility. And i m very depressed by ur customer care executives, they neither solve my problem nor they tell the right procdure to deactivate this facility. i already complained to ur customer care executives five to six times in one month earlier, but till date my problem is not solved.

i request u to that pl. check the copmaint by me on 19/10/07 & 20/10/07 for deactivating the vas pack facilty and returned my thirty rupees balance which is deducted by u doday. and please don't do this type of deduction in my a/c in future.

They(Customer care executive)(all great idiots) will not do any thing. Always give you wrong way to stop, and wrong information to unsubscribe any services.. Sometimes without informing you they activated those services... Whatever you can try this... To unsubscribe, SMS UNSUB < Service code > to 54321 eg . UNSUB News to 54321.

Airtel irresponsible

Dear Airtel Mr Ashish Negi,

I have applied for Airtel Prepaid to postpaid switchover long before(3 months back). But when i confirmed after 15 days of application, they said that my application has been lost. Then i again filled fresh application form with all the proofs. After 15 more days they said that my sim has to be changed. Then i did that too. After this my no was active for 10 days. After that all my calls have been diverted to Airtel customer care. There they said that i have given MUMBAI address to my surprise(To a place where i have never been before). How stupid is it. Then once again i gave my proof. After all these struggle, i just couldn't activate my no. and i gave up and really was surprised how your service was and then took a new vodafone connection(which has been activated on the very same of filling the application after 2 hours only). After all these struggle i just managed to get incomming calls for yesterday after 8 pm only, which lasted for that night alone. Please take some necessary steps. I have all the documents, if i donot get any positive response from your side too, i have to meet you in consumer court. All these things happened in your REACH COMMUNICATIONS at ANNANAGAR Chennai.

Airtel std facility locked without our intimation

Please note our Ph. No. 044-[protected] (Chennai). We found in this line the STD facility is locked for more than a month's time without our permission.

We request you to kindly look in to this and do the needfull immediately by releasing the STD LOCK.

Hope this kind of unexpected service will not happen in future.

I have take a broad band connection on [protected]. Rs 649. 00 plan. I want to change the plan to rs. 999. 00. For that plan they are giving cordless phone instrument free. So kindly change my plan and also arrange for free instrument. From 23 dec to jan 5th the bill amount is rs 435. I feel it is too hike.
Kindly do the needfull.

I was using the broadband from last 5 months. I had a fixed unlimited usage plan of broadband 699 per month. It was going fine earlier. Then i tried to change my bill plan from 699 to 250 as I was going to my native and nobody there for using the internet. So I went to airtel office and asked to change. They first agreed to do the same but when i had given the application they refused the request by saying that you are not eligible for migrating the bill plan as you did not complete the six month of your first plan. So i said ok and went to my native for 1.5 month. before going to native as a customer i also deposited advance 1800 Rs for the monthly plan bill as i was not there for paying the regular bills. (as per my plan i have paid almost 3 months amount in advance). Then I came back and started using my internet and thought in mind that the plan is still same 699 unlimited. Here the issue was raised, they changed my plan to 250 limited. So they started charging for the same. I have used the internet for 2 months still didn't receive any bill from the Airtel. So i tried to check and came to know that my bill went to around 8000 Rs. So I asked to send me the details of bill and the detail when they changed my plan. They failed to do the same for almost 20 days. by that time i went to Airtel local office, talked to customer care so many times but they just replied that their server is down they don't have any information. So i was seek and tired from the airtel for their service, I applied for the cancellation of connection. Still faced the issue of final amount. then after 4-5 days today i got the bill and the final amount of 4755 Rs for closing the account, Don't know what to do?...need suggestion. please send it to my mail hhh2284@gmail.com.

22-11-2017.A person named Raju([protected]) came to my home and checked the
feasibility of the connection and said that it is possible to give the

promised that i would get the connection with in 48 hours.

After 3 days when i contacted him, he said i will get the connection that
day.and this keep on continued till 29-11-2017 and nothing happened.

I raised a complaint with airtel customer care regarding the delay happened
with the reference number 8000048.Nothing happened even after that.

I spoke to Mr Sandeep(Team Leader, [protected]) and Ms. Kala (040-[protected]) who
keep on delaying the process and giving false promises.

when i approached Airtel office (040 - [protected]) Mr.Krishna(Coordinator)
connected my call to Mr Niven Raj(Manager-Sales) and they have confirmed that
it is not possible to give the connection as there is no feasibility with my
building.

Why cant you guys check the same before i applied for the new connection?At the
time of applying you people are betraying/misleading the customer that
connection is possible for my building and after taking the money you are
saying that giving connection is not possible.You people are cheating the
customers.when i asked for the refund Krishna was saying it will take 30
working days to get back my refund.

First thing, You people are cheating the customer by giving false promises.
Secondly, Keep on delaying and dragging the issue with out giving the proper
status even for the service request raised.
Thirdly, When customer is asking for the refund you are asking him to wait for
long time.

With out checking the feasibility, you made a false promise to customer that
giving connection is possible and collected 800/-.Now you people are saying
that there is no feasibility for giving the connection with the building.

I have already invested 300/- for calling you guys every day.
If i am not going to get my refund back, i am going to approach the consumer
court for cheating the customers and disturbing their peace of mind by giving
false promises.

I have made request for broad band. but nobody contacted. after acomplaint from the office of Dr Chadha, Mr Jha contacted him and give the broad band connection. the same person i have called for new broad band connection at Rohini sector 2 area, but nobody turned about till date. every co knowls that nowa days your marketing is going on . so school are forcing the student to use internet. but we people are not gettinjg the connection, what is the problem. ? i donot know.

Unnecessary time everybody is calling and asking about broadband connection. but when we call nobody turns up.

I hope the concerned will look after this and get the broadband connection in my house

The collector of my billing amount s mobile no is [protected]. He took the money by conviencing me that he will provide me the reciept tomorrow from the day he took the money I mean on 7th sept 10... But neither he deposited the money nor he recieved my call when I tried to ask about the amount update.. I put complain in airtel office through call and later I came to know that they cant do any thing without reciept.. So I complained at police... I Chandrasekhar have applied for airtel broadband connection on 30 July, 2017 and a guy named Mallikarjun (he called himself as Kukatpally service engineer) collected the documents and collected 800 INR saying that the connection will be installed in three working days(I guess this is the general duration that u promise to fool customers).

I am writing to you with deep disappointment and frustration that, today it is 10 August, 2017 and till now I did not receive even a single call or update regarding this connection. When I tried to call Mallikarjun (guy who collected documents), he is not answering the call at all. To his stupidity, he is answering and disconnecting the call immediately when I call from different numbers. He is using filmy tricks as if he is not hearing by saying ‘Hello’, ‘Hello’..

I have raised complaint last week 5 August, 2017 and call center executive promised that it would be resolved by that day End of the day. To my surprise, I did not receive any call on that day and till today. I have raised another complaint# 2071996 today (10 August, 2017) and again the call center executive promised that I will receive call and installation will be done, but I doubt if this will happen.

Hi,

Airtel people are such scamsters... First they told me to pay rs.500 as installation charges which will be adjusted in the bill, but what they did was that they didn't deduct the amount and now when I asked them to disconnect the connection, they are not doing it but playing stupid games...
Dont ever buy any products from these thieves..

I am extremely fed up with Airtel. 1st you guys told me a shift of connection from Delhi to Gurgaon does not mean a new connection. Asked me to pay my last bill and shifted the connection. If you check my background, I only pay via internet. Hence, if there was an unbilled amount left in the account, I had no way of knowing. I wanted to pay online as I am hardly in town but you guys refused and by the time I came back to India, 1-2 weeks, went to your centre and paid the unbilled amount, I found out my connection had been disconnected. Oh, and the idiot in the call center was as curt as possible in informing me regarding the disconnection.

After my re-connection, problems with the internet started happening. My interned used to work on my phone and my wife's computer but not on mine. I called on the 20th of April (complaint # [protected]) about this and got a call back within sometime (from [protected]) that it has been resolved at the backend. I again received a call in the morning (from [protected]) to let me know that the fault was at the server end. I let her know that the internet was working fine till yesterday night. When I checked the internet again after that, the same problem was occurring, it was working on my wife's laptop but not in mine. I called customer service, got transferred to the supervisor. He sotred the problem out and it started working. He asked me to log into 192.168.1.1/ and said that he needed to upgrade the formware/firmware or something. He made me go to access management and deactivate something. After that he told me it will take 5-7 minutes. He kept me on hold and after about 5 minuted wanted me to check if the lights on the modem were stabilizing or not. Only the power light was on. He tried a lot of things, made me unplug the wires from the modem, had me restart it a few times and then gave up. He filed a complaint (# [protected]) and told me that there is a problem at the server level and a technician will come within 5pm and sort it out. The technician came and declared that my modem has died and that I needed to purchase a new modem. He told me that he gives a damn if the techincal support guy was at fault or not, it was my modem and my problem. He was wearing an Alkatel ICARD hanger and the name is Bharat Lal.

I have registered by paying Rs. 500 on 16th August to Mr.Thanraj, Sales Officer. He informed me that i will get the connection within 5 working days. But even till today after 13 working days I didn’t get the connection. Whenever I calling him, he is telling I will get the connection today. Even cable work has not been started till now. Can you please let me know the work going on behind this?

If I will get the connection within 5th Sep, please return back my money. I will go for some other ISP who should know the value of customer.

Airtel worst services.

My mobile phone which is a lifetime prepaid connnection. had not given problems in the past two years. Last month my phone no. [protected] was disconnected given a message for non submission of document proofs. wherein when i had taken the sim i had submitted the documents on that basis the sim was activated. when visited the Airtel gallery they informed me that due to recent crisis they have disconnected the prepaid cards. I submitted the documents on 3rd November, 2017 . the customer service told me that the same will activated in 24 hours (their 24 hours is 8 hrs on working days i.e. 3 days.) I visited the Airtel Gallery (Ghatkopar - opp. Odeaon Theatre) again on 7th November 07 as my sim was not activated. The per son at the gallery informed me that the network is down it will be done by evening. When on that day it did not happen i visited the gallery on Thursday. At the gallery the customer service activated my phone when i returned home i came to know that the person has activated my outgoing but my incoming is not working. No one is able to call me on my no. I complained it to the Airtel helpline (Worst service no.) [protected] They take your complain but nothing is done on the same in the past7 days i have almost callled up 10 times but they take the complain and inform you that the same will be done in 24 hours. but believe me dont wait for the same. they do not call up . I have called again today twice but they just given assurance that they will do it. and they take your alternat e no to confirm the same but nothing is done.

Please help me with this.

This is to inform u that I am the prepaid customer for airtel. My mobile number is [protected].1months before it has been disconnected due to the submission of documents. I was being told that it will start within 48 hours. But after submitting the document it got started after 20days. Now again on 14th it got disconnected. When I called the customer care they told me that it will get started within 2hours as its having some network problem. But then after two hours when I called back they said that u have submit the required documents. I even told them that I have already submitted all the required documents before 1 month then only it got activated. Anyways when on 15th I went to airtel gallery they told me that I no need to submit any document as there record is showing that I have already done it. And they told me to recharge the validity. So I did it but no result. Then again I called customer care they told me the same problem that I need to submit the documents. I am not getting what the exact problem is.

A scheme was activated automatically on my cell no.. I tried registering a complain in call center I got 1 number which was redundant.. Then I also tried getting to a airtel gallery, but they also didn't make much difference. Finally when I called the call center 2day, they dropped my call...

I am having a prepaid connection of Airtel lifetime ([protected]) usually having a balance of Rs.100 & more having full talkrime. I am having a model of Nokia - 3315 having no other facility than receiving and diallinmg a no. Company's customer care service centres are sending promotional messages and in case of no reply automaticaaly activates the service and keeps on debiting the amount from the customer's account. There are many other users who like me are only using the mobiles for their necessity amd not for the value added services. The company is cheating the customers by debiting the amounts from customers accounts.

I think that company is cheating their innocent customers who don't know about value added services and don't require it by activating on their mobiles and charging for the same

I am a user of Airtel Prepaid mobile service and my mobile number is [protected]. In last few days I have noticed that my number has been charges the call charges much more than the actual/normal tariff of my number. On inquiry, I was told that for some calls I have been charged Rs. 6/- per minute instead of Rs. 1.50 (STD Call charges on my number).

I was given a complaint number [protected] and was assured by the customer care executive that the excess amount (about Rs. 400) will be refunded back as a credit to my number within 24 Hrs. More than 72 Hrs have been passed since then and there is no such credit in my account. When I contacted again and gave reference of my complaint number they say that their server is down and the same will be done in next 48 Hrs. I am helpless.

I am a 80 year old lady and there was a service message, I pressed that a sI had to go to my msg. I find immediately downloading of a msg which says

" Thanks for downloading DLFIPL SUPER KING GAME FROM AIRTEL.. CHARGED RS. 50/-

I have a prepaid card with airtel, phone no [protected], and on 25th August 2017, I recieved a promotional email promoting Night talk plan wherein if u sms for a confirmation of the plan one could talk from night to morning for 10 paise per minute at a deduction of Re1 every day. After replying back asking for the service via sms, I recieved an SMS confirming the application and assurance of an activation of the same within 48 hours.

I did not receive a confirmation after 48hrs for the the activation and so I call Airtel prepaid customer service. They said that I was not eligible for the plan and that the sms is a general reply not an assurance of the activation of the plan. After that, on the 7th of September 07, my money started getting deducted everyday. My balance kept getting less by 2 RS. I contacted the prepaid customer service center on the 20th September 07 and spoke to a customer service executive named Manish. The call was made between 11:15 am and 11:30am. Manish kept saying sorry for the inconvenience but refused to help. He said that it was a system error and that although this error was from their end they could not refund the money because it was night plan was activated and nothing could be done. I asked for his full name and he curtly replied saying that it was against company policy to give it! I asked to speak to a supervisor, he kept me on hold and returned back saying that the supervisor was not available and that I would need to call back in 2hrs if I wanted to speak to one. He sounded disinterested and rude!

I got an Airtel Prepaid connection last month and submitted all my papers to the agent for registration. On my visit to Airtel franchisee for an subsequent recharge i was told to resubmit my papers, which i did. Two days later the services were debarred and on inquiry i was asked that verification had failed because papers were not submitted. I did resubmit, now a third time, all the papers and the services were restored late in the evening. Now that everything was settled, i recharged my cell with a prepaid recharge of Rs. 3500/-. One week later i got a SIM registration failed message on my cell. On inquiring again, i was told that the verification has failed and no reason was provided why. They did not even intimate me about the disconnection of services.

And worst, still are not ready to refund back my money.

Dear Airtel on saterday evening I got a SMS from you(Rs 274 worth benifit with RC222 ! Rs 199 regular talktime & 50 free STD mins. STD min validity 7days.offer ends on 18/08/2017). So I recharged my mobile with with RC 222. But I didnt gety the STD 55 mins. So I make a call to you.Yuor customer care people disconected my call 4 times. Lastly i talk with your customer care superviser and he rectified my problem & said the 50 STD mins will come to me with in 24 hours. After 48 hours I checked it out & i didnt get the STD mins. So I make a call to your customer care peopel. Again same problem I faced- your customer care people disconected my call 4 times lastly I talk with your customer care superviser . He is scolding me & saying they diidnt sent any SMS to me & disconected my call.

Auto Debit from my saving account at ICICI, SR Nagar, Hyderbad

I came across with what you call as the most rediculious accounts handling of Airtel. I have no ECS to AIRTEL for any of my bank acccounts. But every time these guys are auto debiting my saving accounts at ICICI for some other customer.

I found this problem when I was out of country for 4-5 months in the 3rd qtr of 2008. And when I visited India in the month of November 2008, I need to follow up with Raghavendra at White house, Begumpet Office to address my issues.

After few weeks they found that neither the bills belong to me nor the amount and by mistake they have debit 3-4 times my account for some other customer bills. After a long follow up AIRTEL has credited my accounts with all the debits.

I'm now again out of country, and I came across with same problem. I found an auto debit from my saving account at ICICI for AIRTELAP. This is purely THEFT CASE and HARRASING CASE against AIRTELAP. I will be waiting to hear in 24 hours from now, if not I will be directly lodging a case against AIRTEL and let them know what if harrasing a customer.

If any AIRTEL office see this messages pelase send me personal email and sort the problem out.

Airtel problem in creating c. u. g in my airtel friends pack.

Inorder 2 delete 2 members and join some other members we all decided to break the existing group after consulting the customer care. We got it brocken very easily. But, now the problem is that we are not able to create any new group further even after trying from last few days. All are maintaining the minimum balance of rs30 and none of this numbers are lifetime scheme. So, please take necessary measures to solve this problem.

i got a postpaid card i am in Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. i can't get tower properly. just one point of tower indicator is a big thing here. today we don't get even a single point for the whole day. Every one using airtel are in trouble
So please take necessary steps for this

Airtel deficiency of service, fraudulent advertising, unethical sales and unresponsive customer service

Hi all:

Airtel Broadband Service is a joke going on for too long.
I opted for their 2 Mbps connection and have never seen it deliver.
I have been getting between 7 Kbps and 30 Kbps - mostly the former download speed since the time I have been with their service, which is now about 6 months now. I have been complaining about this deficiency and only recently some local tech ppl were sent over and they confirmed verbally that the problem is not in the last mile or repeater but rather in their NOC which is in Delhi and I'm at Calcutta.

Even after this the service never improved. On top of that they out of the blue start sending inflated bills. The customer support is an eyewash to waste customer's time. None of the problems I ever reported were resolved till date. Their service goes offline at least 3 times in a week. No one knows of the SLA that is supposed to have been given the customer at the time of sign-up.

Airtel discourages customers from checking their online usage by making them again physically go to their customer support center after sign-up and again submit photo ID, and a written applkication to provide usage checking user/pass details. Of course this is so they can overbill you. This shouldn't be the case as they already have the photo ID etc with the broadband connection application - but they do this drama over again so ppl will not be bothered with this extra effort of re-registration again - which is what I had done and only after the inflated bills did I re-register again.

I have been regularly paying their bills but for the last 2 months which has hugely inflated billing. Even then I paid the normal bill amount except the inflated amount.

So to summarize:

#. Airtel converted me from my previous ISP, BSNL by fraudulently selling me the 2 Mbps connection (which actually doesn't come anywhere near that specification) and therefore CHEATED me.
#. Deficiency of Service to deliver 2 Mbps even after repeated complaints throughout the last 6 months.
#. Fraudulent overbilling
#. Actively by-passing customer right to know (internet usage stats) by systematically thwarting access to this info by means of duplicate, redundant and forced re-registration and that too by adamantly forcing ppl to visit physical customer support center and providing no means of doing so online. Clearly a malpractice and a violation of customer rights as per TRAI.

Everybody who feels this is also the case with the service of Airtel Broadband, plz reply here and I'm planning on a joint public interest litigation to the consumer court. Some companies think they can get away with anything - unless of course their bubble gets busted.

I completely agree that the airtel customer service is pathetic.
They are sending me inflated bills for the past couple of months.
Airtel authorities never warn the customers for exceeding broadband usages so that they can generate a huge bill amount and harass the customers for clearing these dues.
I have been using airtel services for more than 3 and a half years now but now I don't wish to continue with the same.

Unauthorized Charges on Your Local Phone - Utility Bill?
How to Find Them, Eliminate Them & Get Your Money Back!
If your business still gets its phone service through the old "AT&T and Verizon, etc" local phone company (as opposed to one of the newer competitive phone providers) then you need to double check your phone bill each and every month for charges you did not authorize. You may not know it but the local phone company allows other companies to bill you through your local phone bill. And while the local phone company allows other businesses to bill you through your local phone bill, the local phone company does not verify that the charges being billed to you by the other company are valid. When these unauthorized charges fraudulently appear on your phone bill it's called "cramming". Unfortunately you as the business owner or manager are the only one that can spot the unauthorized charges and if you don't comb over your bill every month to spot these unauthorized charges - you'll pay for them.
Why does the local phone company allow other companies to pass charges onto your phone bill? "Third-party billing" is supposedly a great convenience in that you only have to pay one bill instead of separate bills for obvious authorized phone related charges like yellow-page advertising in the "real yellow pages", 411 information calls and long-distance calls from your chosen long distance carrier. Over the years though, some less-than-scrupulous companies have realized that most businesses rarely scrutinize their local-phone bills. To take advantage of this, these companies have come up with elaborate schemes to place
unauthorized charges on your phone bill that you'll end up paying for without even thinking. Unauthorized
charges you can end up paying for include charges for unwanted (and unused) email accounts, web sites,
directory information calls, directory advertising in obscure publications, voice mail accounts and other
services.
In theory, before these charges can be placed on your phone bill, the company that is originating the third-party billed charges is supposed to have a verification of the order like a voice recording. In reality though,
all the company needs to do to initiate the charge is submit your name and phone number to the billing
entity. The verifications are only required to be produced if a complaint is filed.
To prevent these charges from appearing on you business phone bill it's helpful to understand the four
parties that make unauthorized third party phone charges a costly reality. Party number one is any
employee who can answer your business phones. The unauthorized charge is rarely random and it usually
happens after one of your company employees gets a telemarketing call. Employees should be instructed to
document and report any overly aggressive telemarketing calls they receive. Party number two is the
telemarketing company that originates the unauthorized charges by trying to get your employee to accept
some service for which you'll be billed through your local phone bill. Party number three is the third-party
billing company that has billing agreements with your local phone company. The name of the third-party
billing is the one that is prominently displayed on your phone bill. After the third-party billing company's
name is the name of the company that is originating the unwanted charges. Party number four is your "former Ma Bell" local phone company that collects the unwanted charges (keeps a share for "Ma") and then passes the rest to the third-party billing company (who keeps a big share) and then passes the balance on to the company that initiated the unwanted charge.
Following are some of the top third-party billing names and unauthorized charge originators you'll find on
your phone bill. If you see these names on your phone bill you'll want to call the toll free number listed next to the charge to confirm it's a charge that's been properly authorized to be placed on your bill. Following are actual examples that we've recently found while auditing business phone bills.
We recommend customers should review any utility bills issued by deregulated utility companies. (In most instances today, consumers are paying higher charges to the deregulated gas and electric supply companies).
All Utility - Energy, gas, electric and water bills should be reviewed for proper reading and tariff.
If you suspect that you have been overcharged ask for detailed explanation and or file a complaint with your State Utility Commission.

I completely agree as same was the case with my connection and now even worse as after having requested a disconnection of service(by phone/e-mail/letter which Airtel Connect refused to take), they still continue billing me and making harassing calls at anytime of the day.

Wish we can nail them down.

Airtel customer care - never cares for customer

I am an airtel kolkata customer. I had been roaming since last may 2007. I am not at all satisfied with the airtel customer care division. Whenever I am roaming there are some or the other problem with my connection. And every time I launch a complain with the customer care kolkata I am never satisfied.
I am listing the problems with the customer care division:

1. Standard reply of the personel - We have logged your problem. Thanks for calling the customer care. (No answer whether the problem will be solved or not) CARELESS ATTITUDE.

2. Again if you call related to the same problem - A fresh problem is logged. Ask for the previous logged problem (NO TRACE).

3. Any uncommon question you ask - call hold for 10 - 15 minutes - Standard reply - (OUR SERVER IS NOT WORKING - PLEASE CALL AFTER ONE HOUR) - after hour once again explain the whole problem and again the same answer.

4. Try to talk to any superior to the customer care executive - YOU ARE KEPT ON HOLD FOR UNLIMITED PERIOD. If luckily you get the rare opportunity to talk to them, again narrate the whole detail with every minute issues and answer (SIR THANKS, WE SHALL GET BACK TO YOU) and they never get back.

---IN A NUTSHELL - IT IS NOT CUSTOMER CARE. IT SHOULD BE CUSTOMER REPORTING DIVISION OR CUSTOMER TIME PASS OR CUSTOMER HARASSMENT DIVISION.

Airtel unwanted missed call alert service

Dear all,

I have an airtel prepaid connection and I am a person who talks to the point on mobile and I prefer not wasting my mobile balance for gossips etc.

This all started in march 2007, when I got a sms from airtel customer care:

"Rs 15 have been deducted from your account for your last VAS download. Thank you for using Airtel missed call alert service." Of course not willing to pay 15 Rs for missed call alert, I immediately called customer care. After much of "Please wait, maa'm, I will check", I got an answer from the customer service guy that the service was given because "I asked for it". Shocked by this invention, I told him that never in my life have I requested such service by call, sms or reply to call or reply to sms with airtel customer service and there is some error in airtel database. The person adamantly told me that "If our system says that you have asked for it, you have asked for it." I again told the person that I have never requested such service. But like a taped message, his reply was the same. "If our system says that you have asked for it, you have asked for it."

I requested the customer fellow that if he says that I asked for 'Missed call alert' service, he should produce me proofs and date and time, when and by which medium have I asked for missed call alert service. The person said that "Sorry Maa'm, We cannot disclose the information." After much of argument, The person told me that they would not refund the 15 rs deducted, and If I want that next month 15 Rs not deducted, I should sms mca cancel to 511 and confirm within 24 hours that the service is really canceled.

Helpless, but not willing to lose Rs 15 again next month, I sent the sms to 511. When called to ask whether the missed call alert service is canceled, I got a reply from customer care that "The service is still active, but it will surely be canceled within next 24 hours."

Next month when I saw Rs 15 deducted again, I immediately called customer care and informed about the matter. Again I got the reply about "sms mca cancel to 511, will be canceled in next 24 hours" etc etc. This time also I sent the sms. I also mailed to [protected]@airtelindia.com about this. Git an automated reply "your request will be processed within 24 hours." But no one from customer care reached me about complaint.

Now 7 months are over since I first called customer care. 15 X 7=105 Rs already deducted form my account. I resent the complaint mail 4 times. Every month I send sms about canceling missed call alert service, every time new customer care guy tells me that this time the service will surely be calceled, and next month I again see Rs 15 deducted from my account.

Is there any other way than sending sms about canceling a service and being restless because it is not canceled, or talking to any tina, mina or asif from airtel call center and their false promices?

Exactly same is my complaint with airtel, this is now going on with me since 8 months. Every time call center people tell to sms mca cancel to 511, every time I do that and get promices that it will be cancelled within 24 hours and every next month 15 rs are deducted again.

According to your company the area of Dhuri city is in black list. Before about 4-5 years I have an airtel connection in working. And my inquiry for new connections is true then I don’t know what reason your company disconnect my new both connections. They told that my verifications have been negative. They I talk to my dealer and check my verifications to your company then my no. were working with in 2 hours. They 7/4/10 time 3.35pm Gurnam Singh mob no.[protected] calling me your documents has received by company. Your no. will be always in working. They today on 8/4/10, my both no.s in not working. By calling to your customer care they told me your documents are not received. But my documents had received on 7/4/10 by Gurnam Singh.
Kindly all my three no.s of airtel unsubscribe ([protected], [protected], [protected]) pending bill of my three no.s sent to me. I will pay to you. And please disconnect my three no.s immediately. i don’t want to take any tensions of this work. And my money of security of two no.s keeps that money and deposit to airtel fund. I was using Motorola Z6 Rocker with imei [protected]. I validate my IMEI by sending an sms to 53232 and got following SMS in reply from 53232...
SUCCESS: THIS IMEI BELONGS TO :BRAND : Z6MANUFACTURER : MOTOROLASOURCE:MSAI,
OFFICIAL GSMA PARTNER IN INDIA.

Even though i having valid IMEI, The Airtel Sim card stop working on motorola Z6 from 30th nov Due to this I had lost my precious time and money.
From the beginning of this month I am keep getting massages about Invalid IMEI. So I spoke to Customer Service Executives more than 10 times in this regard. They informed me that " its a common massage and I should not worry about it Each and every time they replied the same thing.
Now what happened today I lost my time my money my handset...all of because very poor Customer Service. If they didn't have the proper information than they shouldn't have provided me wrong info regarding IMEI.
I ques at Customer Relationship Center at Naupada Thane, But they didn't help me about any thing.
After that I called 121 and spoke to CSA at around 14:20 PM [protected]...She spoke very rudely and didn't listen my complaint.
Right know I am feeling morally harassed by Airtel Customer Service. This is not the way to treat costumers...I am a customer of airtel since 2005.
I don't know how Airtel had put my IMEI on invalid IMEI nos' list. While each and every GSM Service providers are providing the GSM service on my mobile handset except AIRTEL.(After inserting various GSM Sims in my Handset)
I want to start Airtel services on my Mobile hand set(Z6 MOTOROLA [protected]) any how.
I am very very disappointed with Service of Airtel.

I have a very strong faith at Airtel's Grievance Department.
This is a very humble request to you to resolve my Complaint ASAP.

Your billing system is have wrong, ur frauding to ur customer, ur system charge me of that calls also which i not make but i cant prove that .but ur system charge me bill for that number which number is not in use, not active from last 6 month and i can prove this bcoz that no. is also post paid and i can get the details of that no. i was complaining from last two month but nt geting result and today my outgoing is nt going on if my problem not solve up to tomorrow then i will made case in consumer court on ur company i want result upto tomorrow within any condition .

I am faced with this Rs 15 deduction problem myself. I have the lowest end mobile phone, with no WAP support. Still they are deducdting Rs 15 citing some WAP service. I have already lost at least Rs 90/-
Call centre executives put it bluntly that they cannot deactivate it. Since I find many people facing this issue we should get together and make a representation to Airtel senior management.

Dear friend this happen with me and with my friend also though i send cancellation sms=DMCA@ 250 my INR 15 rs got deducted i immediately call 121 executive also reply me same then i calm myself and again made call after 24 hour since 24 is require for system updation. I made complaint with all details like date /time when i got sms and when i send sms for cancellation date/time after this he assure me that he ( Airtel ) will send me my balance and yes i do get my balance in 48 hours with sms confirmation like (we are pleased to informed you that an amt of Rs 15 has been credited in your account.* my friend didn't got his balance back cause he fail to lodge complaint properly)

Friend no any company is fraud except ( unReliance ) since government have punish them lot of time for exploiting and cheating with both customer and government. I feel as per as private telecoms sector concern only BHARTI airtel is ideal since there name bharti airtel sound more close to bharat than company like VEDA PHONE / UN-RELIANCE but this time your problem is serious i will advice you to email your problem to NODAL OFFICER i read abt this in airtel Manuel since i have habit of reading all the detail abt the product explain your complaint like all details like cell information mobile number since when ur ballcne deducted how many time u made complaint since airtel server always store all the data so i am sure he will look in this concern and he wil resend your balance. According to airtel information book nodal officer is the last step and he is suppose to either resolve or reply your complaint within 48 hours

Friend i have also face lot problem like u. I face money deduction for mobile office service which was inactive and i was not able to enjoy and cancel it. Everyday my balance use to deduct by 14.99 and everyday i use to make complaints and they resend my ballace with same tape ( sure from tomorrow your balance will not be deducted ) this continued for 9 days then i went to Airtel gallery they also fail to resolve my problem then i desperately started searching solution on this and then i came to know abt this NODAL OFFICER but i didn't find the email address or mobile number of nodal officer then i request his email and mobile number just by sms to 121 and i got i email the story with full details i don't know should i tell this or not but i think people should know both side since this is complaint Bord people only posting complaints. I request to resend my INR 30 Rs but Airtel ( nodal officer ) send me INR 128 Rs don't know how he calculate my loss i tell this to my friend he explain me why i got 120 insted of just 30 he said cause i was badly harrase by airtel system server due some fault he paid the loss which i had ( financially / psychologically )

Airtel no response from airtel

i have recharge with Rs 300/- with airtel easyrecharge.Airtel they deducted Rs 30/- from my account and without inform us they activate voice chat and again they deducted Rs 30/- my account has gone to Rs -23/- then i rigester a complain with airtel they said that they going to add that Rs60/-to my account till date singe money they dint added and theybarred my account incoming and outgoing callsbarred.I rigester so many complains with airtel custumer care.Airtel is a cheater and cheating with the people.

Airtel duplicate sim is activated but balance and validity is not updated

I have taken a duplicate sim from airtel office in koramangala branch almost a month ago. Till now I am not able to use it. I have validity till april 2008 and a balance of 700+. After my repleted visit to there office for two weeks (Around 7 times) I am able to see signal ie, sim is active. However I am not able to see my balance and validity. When I press *123#, I see that balance is zero and validity is unknown (a symbol '- '). For this again visited number of times, I called them repeatedly. I raised complaint in custom care of airtel, but till now the problem is not resolved. The nearest airtel office is around 12km from my place, I have travel all the way from there. They say that it will resolved in 24hours.

Can I raise a complaint in consumer court through online?

Airtel sim activation status

i purchased a sim of Airtel around six months ago Of Mobile No. [protected] with all relevent documents and i chose lifetime validity.
After 8-10 days due to some technical fault my no. was diverted to other no.
i applied to block that sim by informing at Airtel Office Hoshangabad (M.P.), and i was given new sim with same mobile number with sim number [protected].
but till date this new sim is not activated.
I've submitted all relevent documents again but till now i've been given so many appologies (like server problem/will be done in 1-2 days) e.t.c.
Now i'm waiting for ur positive response or i'll be so disappointed by the services of Airtel.

Airtel limited service.. although documents submitted thrice.!!

This is Manish Awasthi from New Delhi..recently i purchased a prepaid sim of Airtel No:[protected] and Sim No:[protected] 7..and as i know one can not take a sim(connection) without giving any documents.I have also given the same.I bought this sim on 29th Sept 2007 from Mobile Store Alaknanda New Delhi.It worked just for 10 days..

The problem is my sim is not working since a week and i have been told to re-deposit relevant documents twice..i deposited all the documents(add proof,voter ID,Photo) thrice..one in Mobile Store ASC New Delhi ,second in Airtel Office in G Block kalkaji and third in Airtel office in Nehru Place...but the result is same ..stil my connection is not working and there is no use of talking to innocent customer executives as they don't know why my documents are not reaching there.Still my mobile shows limited service..and i m not able to do outgoing calls and neither i am ablel to receive incomming calls.

At last i thought i should get in touch with you..lets see what type of help you people provide..otherwise i will go the government authorities as it is important to know where my documents are going?who is going to take reponsiblity if they are use in any illegal work/purposes.

This is Firoz Khan from New Delhi..i purchased a prepaid sim of Airtel No: [protected] and Sim No: [protected] 7 . I bought this sim on 18th Aug. 2008 from Mobile Store Kalkaji [Off Nathu Sweet, nr. Kalka Depot]

The problem is my sim is not working since day before yesterday. I have been told to re-deposit relevant documents twice..i deposited all the documents (add proof, voter ID, Photo) to the same Mobile Store on 15.10.08...stil my connection is not working and there is no use of talking to customer executives as hold the phone for long time, I have tried many times, but no one is ready to talk.

May I know who is going to take reponsiblity if my documents which I gave 1st time, are use in any illegal work/purposes.

No bill recieved . I had called up around 100 times to send me the bill but every time they said we will send you with in 48 hours but not its extreme . I want to disconnect this phone and Internet service . please look into this matter airtel no [protected] .

I find that Airtel is deducting Rs.14.99 intermittantly for VAS download. I have no interest in changing ring tones and I don't use their services. I reported to customer care and also sent deactivating message over the number given. But the charge continues.

I received a massage saying "your account debited 10.00 INR for your last downlod. I didn't downlonlod anything.so why they charge me.I want to cancel my account.So please tell me how can I cancel my account.

I have just recharged my mother in laws mobile while overseas; and wanted to have some talktime available while she is in transit. Funny. I dislike Airtel for this. Hope they have a better explanation of what this is and why are they ripping off the customers while in roaming. This doesn't help.

Airtel cuts Rs. 99.00 one time from the balance without any intemation, and the person didnt apply for that service. I hv tried to call center they are not doing anything i m fully fdup what VAS download system simply Airtel cheating to subscriber
