On 14 September 2025 at around 11:15, I was apparently selected for a 'random' search. They tossed my entire bag even after I politely asked them to be careful and not to be so rough with my stuff.
They confiscated a toy magnet game that I’ve flown with across the world. I tried to reason with them. And I asked for a supervisor to escalate the matter. They declined. They didn't want to identify themselves. As can be seen in the picture trying to hid his face when I wanted to take a picture. Also the name badge that is turned around. Pictures contain the identity of the man that was in charge with my confiscated game.
Claimed loss: R1500
Desired outcome: An written apology from the lady that tossed my bag and from the gentleman who rudely dismissed me after I asked for a supervisor. The list of corrective and preventative measures ACSA commits to take.
