Air India seat reservation

Hi

It has been more than a month now i am chasing AirIndia for my seat reservation refund, there was response from the customer care during initial stage but they forwarded the mail to ecommerce@airindia.in where seems useless people are sitting.

On 9th Jun i was travelling to SHJ from CCJ had reserved a extra leg room seat by paying additional specially at the front of the aircraft to have comfortable flight, but from the checkin they already issued my seat to someone else and gave me at very back of the aircraft the seat, i asked AirIndia to refund the money i paid but no response at all for the mails, i even provided the boarding pass copy for their reference.

Air India compensation for delayed baggage

Madam,

On 1st February 2019, Ms.TANUSHREE travelled from Hamburg to Delhi via London.

From Hamburg to London/LHR she travelled by British Airways, Flight No. 967 dated 1st Feb.2019 and from London/LHR to Delhi by Air India Flight No AI 0112 dated 1st Feb. 2019. She had booked flight with British Airways from Hamburg to Delhi.

On arrival at Delhi Airport on 2nd Feb 2019, all of her checked baggage comprising of three (03) bags, were missing.

She immediately reported the missing baggage at Air India Helpdesk at the Airport (IGIA T3) and submitted baggage Tags/Boarding Ticket in original. Copy of report is enclosed, at Annexure-A.

She contacted the Air India 24x7 Baggage Helpline (Tel. No. 01149637540) but no one answered her call for 3 days, nor she was provided any update or information about tracing of her baggage. There was no information on AI website and British Airways helpline was also clueless about my bags.

After 3 days of anxiety, she received a call from Air India on 5th of Feb, 19 & was informed about tracing of baggage and subsequently the baggage was delivered at her temporary address in India only on 5th of Feb at 22:42 PM., Copy enclosed at Annexure-B.

In this regard it is submitted that in the peak winter season, she had to arrange for clothing and medicine etc, due to delayed baggage and she had to incur other expenditure unnecessarily, which caused lot of inconvenience. Further, No Compensation has been given, as per rules.

In this regard I contacted Customer Care No. 1860 233 1407 and all other numbers but no one picks up phone . You may get this confirmed by dialing these numbers. On my request on e-mail, I was asked by Chinnai Official, to provide ticket & seat number which I provided. They say that they have forwarded to concerned dept. (Annexure C)

On Air India Portal/Customer Service/Status, I requested vide R.No. WB-ILHR160219020, which indicated, "under process" for over 4 months and now it has been removed.

So far no action has been taken for the last 5 months and hence I have to approach your goodself. It is requested to kindly, arrange to expedite the matter. As Tanushree has left for UK, she has authorised me (father) to pursue the matter.

The passneger is adult, not a child.
the farther has to presnet the power of attorney of the passenger in order to demand anything.
The air carrier must deliver the missing baggage "to the door" of the passenger within 21 days following the claim.
The rest of claims - via the distric court of India or UK only.
The India is cheper option; application fee 1000-2500rupees, lawyer assistnace,
if he knows the international rules of the civil aviation,
start from 8000 till 12000 rupees for such kind of case.

Air India damaged baggage

Sir /Madam

I Mrs. Sonali M. Shah, had traveled to Bhavnagar to Mumbai through Air India domestic Flight no. AI652, where my baggage was damaged by Airport officers which was reported by me to the Air India Office at T2 Terminal, Airport Authority complaint letter attached herewith, the Airport Authority had assured me to get it repaired through their consultant Vilson Enterprises, the Vilson Enterprises had come to our home to collect my damaged bag on 27th June 2019 and has now claimed that the baggage cannot be repaired whose receipt is also attached along with this.

I want a viable compensation from the Air India airline for the damaged done to my baggage.

No reply till today, expecting a positive reply from your officers at the earliest.

Air India checkin and boarding process in jfk

As a national airline you are abdicating they responsibilities bif making the country, the people look better. AI 102 JFK DEL total disarray . No TSA PRE in Boarding pass even though Known Traveller Number entered my n ticket. Had to go back & get new pass. No announcement on Business class boarding. In the name of wheel chair and children aircraft was almost full

Either short staffed or incompetent staff. Radha G at the gate did not even acknowledge that I asked her why is business class not announced. She perhaps things all Indian travelers are an entitled lot and don’t deserve attention. NOT AFTER I PAY INR 5 lacs! YOU GAVE TO TREAT ME BETTER. The reason for this complaint is her reaction or lack of one.

Air India damaged bag compensation

In 2017 my parents flew from Ahmedabad to Birmingham via Delhi, When they arrived Air India Did not bring their bag. It took 5 days for Air India to bring this bag to us after me from UK and My brother from India keep chasing this irresponsible people.
When bag arrived it was broken and so badly that can't repair or use again.
Complained since 2017 yet not received any compensation from Air India or even apology.
Called Air India in London and asked for GM and I can hear on the phone he asked lady on the phone the reason I want to talk to him and when I said complain he said give email and asked him to send email. I did so and never got any reply.
Air India owe my parents compensation for delayed bag, damaged bag, New bag price, 2 year worth of interest and also compensation for all stress and hassle we are still going through with Air India.
Some of the photos I have attached with this complain, I have tried everything I can as human being but as standard no reply and Air India do not bother.
This is last attempt from my side before I take this matter to court

Air India air india flight

Our online boarding and seat booking was not considered for air India flight to Newark to New Delhi in flight staring on 8 july. As we booked seat no 17j but on the time of boarding they did not assign me dat seat and gave me seat in h line which is not comfortable for me and reason they were giving s the flight is prepone 1 hour earlier seat no is not assigned which is senseless..

Air India about the change in flight schedule.

I advocate pradeep patil age 66 and my wife had book air tickets from Air India for our journey from mumbai to Newark. We had book tickets on 20 june 2019 . Our PNR is 1G-N1M9CU . We live in Nasik Maharashtra which is 200 km long from mumbai . We departed from nasik to mumbai to be in time for our flight . My age is 66 and my wife is 57 . We both are diabetic and i have problem in traveling long by car so we left early . I was sent a message by air india at 5.57 pm in the evening that our flight will leave for Newark at 9.30 am in the morning . Up that time we were at vikroli mumbai . We don't have any relatives in mumbai and neither air india provided any space for us to stay in the night. We both senior citizens have to face lot of problems that night and we are very upset about the service of air india . We also had to face many problems in newark due to the flight delay .

I put my grievance by this complaint and urge you to refund us the amount of tickets for our flight from mumbai to newark .

I am not the advocate of the Air india carrier, but such complaint has no grounds, both in India and in US.
The Air india is an air carrier, bound of ICAO regulations, not the medical instittion.

Air India flight entertainment screen was not working on 11:30 flight - delhi to london (28 june 19 1400 departure)

Hi All,

On my return journey from Delhi to London which is journey on that flight attached flight details to the email screen for my seat did not work whole day it was long tiresome day which made me feel awful.

Could you please refund for the service not provided did not book the tickets with Air India for this kind of service.

Air India flight cancelled and not accommodating in another flight from ahmedabad to muscat

Flight number AI-985 was cancelled on 27 June 2019 due to some engine problem and airlndia ahemdabad not accommodating next day also in the flight .
They confirmed that they will give ticket for 28 June2019. But still they are not issuing boarding passes and not supporting to the family.
My family is traveling alone with two kids.
Still not consider same and no support from air india staff
They are harassing unnecessary all families.
Pls look into the serous concern

Air India flight ticket not rescheduled correctly by air india agent, and hence ticket is not valid now.

I had the below ticket with air india for my mel - del travel, booked from makemytrip.

I travelled on 8th dec melbourne to delhi. But for some reason had to stay there longer.
Hence i called air india in end of dec (25-28thdec) and got my ticket status changed to open (Which ur agent confirmed).

My ticket was in kept in open status till june.

20 days back i called up air india and the cust care executive is saying your ticket status is shown as refunded in our records so talk to ur booking agent (Makemytrip)

I called up makemytrip now and they are saying that since the change was done by airindia team, they can't help. But yes ticket status is shown as refunded and not open.

My questions -
1. When i requested for placing my ticket as open, why is it marked as refund?

2. Since my ticket was partially used already, you told me that tickets cannot be refunded or changed to other passengers, hence i opted for open.
Now how your records indicate it as refund?

3. If it was refunded, where was it refunded to? I haven't received any money back? Nor makemytrip (I confirmed with them)

4. Since you moved my ticket, i am sure you have the call logs. Please check the records and confirm what i requested and then got a verbal confirmation saying that your ticket has been changed.
Since it was a open and not date issued, no mail was sent out to me.

Talking to your team is a challenge. Atleast 40 min of hold time. Hence i am writing to you.

Hope this is a quicker way of getting logical answers to my questions.

I cant just go around incircles, calling you and then makemytrip everyday.

On this mail thread i have checked with makemytrip again and the answer i get is - ticket has been put on refund status by airindia so they can't help.

I am sure you can definitely check the call logs about this ticket - that i had with your agent in dec - wherein i requested for a open status (As he advised that my ticket can't be refunded or cancelled)

It's high time i am going back and forth on this issue.

Since it's an error from your end to put it into refund instead of open status, give me another ticket / voucher of same value to be used next time. But what am i hearing is that for rs 50, 000 worth of my ticket and booking i am not getting anything back... Neither refund nor ticket (As i always requested).

Requesting immediate action and response please.

Air India denial of lounge services

I am Col Yashpal Singh Etk: 0982130150394C1 traveling today (25 JUN 19) by AI 3449 (chatered flight) to Leh.

I have a business class ticket/boarding pass.

Today at around 0430 hrs, the AI staff at the AI lounge at Delhi airport denied me the business class lounge services saying that I was not authorised these services since I was travelling in an Army Chartered flight.

Please clarify why the lounge facilities are denied to Army Officers travelling business class in chartered flights.

Air India missing baggage on a international travel and no update of the baggage yet

I have travelled on airindia from copenhagen to Kochi Via delhi and my baggage was missing in delhi . I have raised a complaint and there is no information of the baggage yet

Air India made to pay extra for hand luggage

My mother was travelling from Goa to Kuwait on 31st May 2019 on Flight AI975 departing at 20.25 hrs. While she checked in at the Air India counter she had her Hand Luggage and lady hand bag (which usually every women in the world carries during her travel). She was told to pay extra for the Hand luggage as she was carrying the lady hand bag, and was constantly harassed by the staff members. As per the Baggage allowance policy which is as below

HAND BAGGAGE or CARRY- ON BAGGAGE
The cabin baggage allowance that is applicable for carriage on all Air India (AI) operated flights is as given below for both Domestic and International travel.
For Alliance Air (9i) operated flights the cabin baggage allowance that is applicable for carriage is as follows:
DIMENSIONS
Height 40 cms (16 inches) + Length 30 cms (12 inches) + Width 15 cms (06 inches) for ATR aircraft - Total of Dimensions 85 cms
NUMBER OF PIECES / WEIGHT
Only 01 piece of hand baggage having maximum weight of 5 Kg is permitted
In addition to one piece of cabin baggage or package, you may also be permitted to carry one following personal item, subject to Security Regulations:
• A Lady's hand bag.

After meeting the above criteria, why was my mother charged Rs 3, 350.00 for the hand baggage? And being a Senior Citizen and cancer patient why was she harassed at the airport, after even informing the staff that she cannot walk up and down for checking in the baggage. Is this the type of service Air India provides to their passengers? This was a very shocking incident and first time where Air India the most reputed India's Airlines has committed.
Kindly respond why did this happen and under what circumstances did Air India charge for baggage.

Air India excess baggage charges

I was traveling mumbai to bangkok. On helpline after asking excess baggage charges for mbai bankon the information given was 23kg 1 baggage charges are inr rs.7000/- I had excess baggage of 26kgs and the Air India staff at airport charged me INR rs.50000/-
Please provide the solution and refund for cheating.
Tell me the process of claiming the refund .

Air India my bag got a big cut from inside pocket and food from the checked in bag got stolen.

I departed from Bhopal at 8.05 and landed Mumbai with Flight AI 634 on 19th Jun 2019.
I checked in 1 luggage bag. It was new and good. I was carrying clothes and food item. My bag has 3 zips out pf which i locked 1 zip. Other 2 were small and did not have any item so i kept it open. These small chains were opebed and a cut in bag was made from inside. My food packed were removed from there. Its a shame that people of flight staff does this kind of things. I had 2 to 3 important food items which were removed. My bag which is so good and costly was damaged. Since the cut was from inside I did not see it at airport otherwise would have claimed there. When I opened by bag at home i found a big cut in the pocket and items from bag missing. Dont know what to say. But such thefts should be caught. Is there any way to find out who has stolen. Are there cameras in airport? No security guard is there ? Or security is also corrupted ? I need compensation for my bag. It was new and now it has become of less use.

Air India mental stress and monetary loss due to delay of flight.

I traveled from Chandigarh to Hyderabad by Air India flights AI 464 & AI 126on 14.6.2019. There was a delay from Chandigarh to Delhi. Instead of starting at 1245, it was started at 1335 & reached Delhi at 1445. Then I checked in for AI 126. No delay nothing was notified. All of a sudden at 1700 hrs. They informed that it will start at 1730. But finally they started at 1830 hrs. Reached Hyderabad at 2050 hrs. Baggage were arrived at 2130 hrs. I booked my bus ticket for travelling to chennai on official duty at 2115 hrs. I informed the Air India persons at the aircraft as well as ground staff near the belt to help me. They informed that they cannot do anything. Finally I approached the booking counter they informed that the officers left. Nearly 5 people were chit chatting. But no solution for me. They informed give a complaint online. Above trip was also official. We as Central Government Officers have no other go. We have to use Air India only. Because of that they are not paying any attention to the passengers. I was in mental stress and by bus also left. No body came for helping. Being a lady and because of my duty on 15.6.2019, I was under tension without any help. Both mentally and physically became tired & lost an amount of Rs.1984.50. Air India lost baggage

Hi, my Wife Jyosna Tandan travelled to Dubai on 10 June from Mumbai flight AI983 on arrival her baggage is missing and no one has confirmed till date where is the bag. The complain no is DXBAI20633.

Please help expedite as we have lost enough money in last 5 days on clothes and cosmetic which I assume is refundable anyways.

Air India did not allow boarding resulting in huge monetary loss

Date of incident: 5th May 2019
Airport: Delhi, India
My ticket details: Booking ref - HP11RI Galileo and mount - 855 EUR
My wife's ticket details: e-ticket number - [protected] and amount - 28, 427.46 INR

My wife and I were traveling to Austria after getting newly married and my boarding pass was either stolen/ misplaced. The officers, instead of printing me a new boarding pass and supporting the situation, they just didn't allow us to board the flight causing a huge monetary loss and psychological discomfort.

We went to seek their help around 40 mins before the flight took off. However, they were quite lazy and slow in helping and when it was just 15 mins left for the flight to take off, they, in a impolite manner stopped us from getting on the flight.

I appeal for the monetary loss!

Air India glaring tv monitors and non functional tv monitors

Hello,

On Jun 7, I took flight 144 from EWR to BOM.
All the seats in the 1st cabin on the plane did not have any functional TV screens. In addition to that all the screens were lit up with white light and could not be turned off.
There was an uproar among all the passengers in the cabin since, there was no entertainment on a 15 hour flight and bright white light glaring from every seat. The pilot was summoned and we were informed that there was a malfunction which could not be fixed and we will be compensated for the inconvenience. Passengers had to use blankets and papers to cover up the screens but with no success.
Air India charges passengers for any amount of extra weight or for any service which is out of the normal functionality. On an international flight, basic functional entertainment equipment is expected of an airline. It is unfortunate that an airline which has been in a prominent name in aviation traffic for the longest time does not check its equipment on a flight of 15 hr. duration.
Having said that I would expect a partial refund of my cost of fare for all the discomfort and inconvenience experienced. This kind of service is highly unacceptable when I have paid a fare of USD $1, 705.83

Air India I booked an air ticket from delhi to ahmedabad on 7 june 2019

I booked a flight from delhi to ahmedabad. I had an interview call at iim ahmedabad and despite the valid ticket of 5 am in morning they never gave me board pass at 3:30 also. Despite so much fight and constantly complaining they just did not listen and harassed all the passengers. I couldn't attend my interview call now how will I get the opportunity. Who will take charge of it.
