ActionFraud.org.uk ActionFraud.org.uk Review: Not Helpful at All, Save Yourself the Trouble

When I first stumbled upon ActionFraud.org.uk, I thought I had found the perfect solution to my problem. However, after dealing with them, I can confidently say that they are not helpful at all.

It seems like they don't know what they're doing. Every time I reached out to them, I received the same generic response. It's like they don't even care about helping you. You have to constantly push them for information and assistance, and even then, they just keep telling you to file a report that never gets read or replied to.

The online chat agents are incredibly rude, and the phone number is a complete waste of time. If you do decide to call, be prepared to be on hold for an hour while an automated recording plays every five seconds.

Honestly, it's better to contact your bank, passport office, or any other institution that is directly affected by your issue. These guys are only interested in collecting numbers and statistics for their crime report.

Save yourself the trouble and don't bother with ActionFraud.org.uk.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud: Frustration with Cyberfraud and Lack of Support

lot of us have had a really bad time with Action Fraud. They don't seem to be doing anything to help us out, and it's really frustrating. I had a problem with cyberfraud myself, and I found that nobody could help me out - not the police, not Action Fraud, not even my bank. It seems like Action Fraud is just too busy to deal with everything that comes their way, so they only focus on the biggest cases. That means that a lot of us are left out in the cold.

The police can't help us out either, because they can't act on behalf of Action Fraud. It's a real mess, and the criminals know it. They're taking advantage of the fact that nobody seems to be able to do anything about their crimes.

But we can change things. We can make the system better, so that criminals are held accountable for what they've done. I started a petition to try to make this happen. If you're as frustrated as I am, please sign it and let's make a difference.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/***

Thanks a lot.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud: A Complete Joke - Don't Rely on Them for Justice

I previously wrote a review about Action Fraud and I have to say, I am not impressed. It seems like all they do is send out letters saying they can't do anything about the fraud that has been reported. This is why fraud is at an all-time high in the UK. The fraudsters know that they have nothing to fear from Action Fraud. It's a complete joke! As many others have said in their reviews, it seems like Action Fraud is just a case of ignoring the problem and hoping it goes away.

But not for me! I refuse to let this go. If Action Fraud won't do anything about a solicitor who my insurers have paid on false information, then I will take matters into my own hands. Fraud is fraud, whether Action Fraud likes it or not. I will even go as far as approaching the procurator fiscal directly, as the police work for them in Scotland.

It's frustrating that Action Fraud seems to be of no help, especially when my insurer has admitted that fraud has taken place. This is unacceptable! I will not let this go and I will pursue this with or without their assistance. It's a shame that they should be referred to as NO ACTION FRAUD, but it seems like that's the reality of the situation.

Overall, I would not recommend relying on Action Fraud to solve any fraud-related issues. It's better to take matters into your own hands and pursue justice on your own.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud: A Delayed Response to Ebay Scam Complaints, Aiding Criminals

A few moons ago, I reached out to Sussex Police about a sneaky Ebay scam, but they told me that it was not their jurisdiction and that I needed to contact Inaction Fraud. I spent a lot of time filling out a form that asked for the culprit's identity, address, Ebay username, and other fishy sales and current Ebay listings (selling "silver" necklaces marked with 925 that weren't silver). Recently, I received an email saying that they were going to pass on all the details to Sussex Police. I used to work for the Metropolitan Police, so I know what evidence is needed for a prosecution. However, Inaction Fraud has only delayed any investigation by months, allowing the criminal to move elsewhere to continue their scams. I have filed a formal complaint against Inaction Fraud and suggest that others who have experienced the same treatment do the same. Action Fraud is completely unsuitable for its purpose and is actually aiding criminals in avoiding prosecution.

ActionFraud.org.uk ActionFraud.org.uk: A Useless Government Quango for Reporting Fraud

I gotta say, don't even bother with ActionFraud.org.uk. It's just another one of those government things that they set up to make it look like they're doing something about crime, but really they're just trying to pass the buck and not take any responsibility.

I reported a fraud case over a month ago and haven't heard anything back. And even on their own website, they say that most cases won't even be investigated. So what's the point of wasting your time filling out a report if it's just gonna get filed away and forgotten about?

It's like the police and the government can say, "Oh, we have a department for dealing with fraud," but really all they're doing is collecting reports and not doing anything about them.

And get this - Talk Talk, the internet company that lost everyone's personal information to hackers, is recommending that you report any fraud to ActionFraud.org.uk. Like, seriously? You've already been ripped off by a company that can't even keep your info safe, and now you're supposed to waste your time filling out a report for a useless government quango that's about as effective as trying to fight the Black Death with flowers up your nose.

Save yourself the trouble and don't bother with ActionFraud.org.uk.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud: A Useless Website for Reporting Scams

I recently had an experience with ActionFraud.org.uk and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I came across a puppy scam and decided to report it to them. I provided them with the scammer's email address, phone number and even the address they gave me. However, to my surprise, the people at Action Fraud told me that since no fraud had occurred, they could not take any action. I was shocked! So, according to them, I had to be scammed first before they could do anything about it? What kind of logic is that?

I must say, this website is pretty useless. I wouldn't recommend anyone to report any fraud to them. The scammers offered me a golden retriever puppy for ?400 without even showing me the puppy. I found out later on Facebook that many other members had lost their money in exactly the same way. I informed Action Fraud about this as well, but the lady who picked up the phone was not very interested in taking any action. She said that someone had reduced the price of the puppy and she didn't see any problem with that. I was so frustrated at that point. I had so much evidence, but they were still reluctant to take any action.

The scammers even claimed to be a charity and showed me photos of an old lady on Facebook. When I asked for the KC registration of the dog, they disappeared. It was such a ridiculous situation. I felt like I was being taken for a ride. So, my friends, please do not waste your time reporting any fraud to Action Fraud. They are not useful at all.

ActionFraud.org.uk Navigating the Frustrating World of Fraud: A Review of ActionFraud.org.uk

So, I recently stumbled upon ActionFraud.org.uk and I have to say, I was a bit skeptical at first. But after doing some research, I found out that the statistics for someone being criminally prosecuted for fraud are pretty low - only 1 in 500, according to Professor Mark Button at the University of Portsmouth. It's no wonder the police can't handle all of these cases on their own.

That's where Action Fraud comes in. They're there to collect all of the information and pass it along to the CPS if necessary. But can you actually get your money back if you've been defrauded? Unfortunately, the odds are against you. In order to get criminal compensation, there has to be a prosecution, which only happens in 1 in 500 cases. And if you want to bring a civil case, that's going to cost you.

It's a tough pill to swallow, but the truth is that the chances of getting justice after being defrauded are pretty remote. The system seems to favor the fraudsters, and it's frustrating to see. I've tried reporting fraud to HMRC, trading standards, the insolvency agency, companies house, and even the intelligence service, but it feels like nothing ever gets done.

Despite all of this, I still think it's important to report fraud when you see it. Even if the odds aren't in your favor, you never know when your information could be the missing piece of the puzzle that leads to a conviction. And who knows - maybe one day the system will change and justice will be easier to come by. In the meantime, I'll keep using Action Fraud and hoping for the best.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud: A Misnomer - No Action Taken Against Online Scammers

I totally agree with the previous reviews about ActionFraud.org.uk. This department is wrongly named as they couldn't be less active if they tried. I'm one of MANY people who reported an online scam from a distribution company that misrepresented themselves. They took monies with the intention of deception for goods from thousands of customers internationally falsely informing them their goods were being posted and in subsequent emails that they could neither provide goods or refunds due to lack of resources.

As a group of dissatisfied customers, we have provided ample evidence of receipts for non-delivered goods, email correspondence, names and addresses of company directors, site premises and definitive proof that in one case this company could not ever provide a restricted original item they advertised. Yet, after more than a 28 day wait, we are now receiving a standard letter telling us that lack of "leads" prevents Action Fraud from pursuing this further.

We have been told by Trading standards and the local police force that they would like us to leave Action Force to investigate this. We are feeling frustrated that despite many of us contacting them, Action Fraud has failed to elaborate on what further "leads" are required or how many "leads" they need in order to become pro-active. Correspondence thus far seems futile and a complete waste of time.

It's really disappointing to see that Action Fraud is not taking any action against these fraudsters. We are all victims of this scam and we deserve justice. I hope that Action Fraud will take our complaints seriously and take necessary actions to catch these fraudsters.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud: A Glorified Way to Bin Frauds and Massage Figures

Action Fraud is a website that was created to address the issue of Police Forces not taking any action against fraud. It combines the statistics from individual forces into one statistic. For example, if there is a car crime epidemic in Greater Manchester Police (GMP) where cars are stolen and sold with changed identification, there are actually three crimes involved: a house break-in and the theft of keys, burglary, and car theft. GMP would only record one crime instead of three, which is acceptable by the powers that be. When fraud is reported to Action Fraud, it is vetted and binned with a proforma letter. Hence, GMP does not record that crime on their system, which cons the statistics of how much real fraud is occurring in GMP.

Moreover, GMP further vets the information they receive from Action Fraud. It does not matter how many names, addresses, or details of ongoing frauds are provided; they only investigate less than 1 in 10 reported or received by them. This is according to GMP themselves. Their priority lies with fraud victims in their own area where the frauds have been committed.

It is surprising that the government spends a large amount of money on Action Fraud when the biggest rising crime, fraud, can be hidden from the public's view. It is just a glorified way to bin frauds and massage individual forces' figures. So, is crime on the decrease? No, it is just hidden. Action Fraud is just another scam, another very costly fraud for the public.

In conclusion, as the saying goes, "lies, damn lies, and statistics." The statistics presented by Action Fraud may not reflect the true extent of fraud in the UK. It is important to be vigilant and report any fraud to the authorities, but it is also important to be aware of the limitations of the system.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud: A Disappointing and Ineffective Organization for Reporting Financial Crimes

I reported a possible theft of almost ?50.000 to ActionFraud.org.uk a week ago, but they haven't even looked at my report yet! It's frustrating because my money could have been on the other side of the world by now. Action Fraud claims that they do not investigate every case, but it seems like they haven't even lifted a finger to help me! The only thing they seem to be good at is making you type a lot on your keyboard! It's disappointing to see that they are not interested in pursuing the perpetrators of money crime. I feel like this organization is a total joke and a waste of time.

ActionFraud.org.uk Disappointing Experience with Action Fraud: Useless and Incompetent

I had a really bad experience with ActionFraud.org.uk. I spent hours reporting a big scam that my aunt fell for. She lost over ?600k and I was devastated. I thought that Action Fraud would be able to help me and my aunt, but I was wrong. It was a complete waste of my time. I felt like I was talking to a brick wall. I could have spent that time with my aunt, who was dying of cancer. She needed my support and comfort, but instead, I was dealing with Action Fraud.

I don't understand why they are even funded by the public. They are completely useless. They didn't help me at all. They were rude and incompetent. I felt like they didn't care about my aunt or her situation. It was a distasteful farce. I was so disappointed with their service.

I wish I could have done something else to help my aunt. I felt so helpless. I don't recommend using Action Fraud. They won't help you. They are a waste of time and money.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud Fails to Help Victims of Letting Fraud: A Disappointing Experience

Me and 20 other people reported a letting fraud to ActionFraud.org.uk, but they didn't seem to care about our case. The director of the letting agency took thousands of pounds from us and is now living a happy life, while Action Fraud and the police don't seem to be interested in helping us. It's a waste of time to report fraud to them, they're not professional, careless, and don't want to help victims of fraud. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and if I could, I'd give them 0 stars.

ActionFraud.org.uk Nightmare Website: Glitches, Unhelpful Support, and Unfilled Reports. Don't Waste Your Time

This website is a bit of a nightmare to use. I had a lot of trouble trying to find what I needed, and the glitches made it even more frustrating. I spent a good chunk of time trying to get through to their phone line, but it was a complete waste of time. The live chat was even worse - not helpful at all. I ended up doing a lot of the work myself, gathering all the information on the fraudsters, but when I tried to submit the report, it wouldn't go through and I couldn't save it. I did get an email acknowledging receipt of an unfilled report, but it came from a noreply email address. Honestly, it's not worth the effort. I've since heard from my bank that they don't do anything anyway. So, save yourself the time and energy and don't bother with this site.

ActionFraud.org.uk Action Fraud Review: A Helpful Resource for Scam Victims, but with Donation Requests and Unclear Director Salary

Action Fraud is a website that helps people who have been scammed. It's hard to know where to turn when you've been scammed, but Action Fraud is there to help. They are a charity that collects data and plays statistics with the government. The police are not interested in scams unless they are related to discrimination against race, sex, etc. However, if a celebrity has been scammed, they will be interested.

When you report a scam to Action Fraud, they will call you back and pretend to give you advice. However, they will also ask you for a donation. It's not clear how much the director of Action Fraud makes, but it's probably around ?350,000 a year. This is similar to the salary of the manager director of Cancer Research.

Overall, Action Fraud is a good resource for people who have been scammed. They can help you collect data and play statistics with the government. However, they do ask for donations, which can be frustrating. It's also not clear how much the director of Action Fraud makes.

ActionFraud.org.uk ActionFraud.org.uk Failed to Take Action Against Scammers - Disappointing Experience

So, I went on this website called ActionFraud.org.uk to report a scam that I fell for. I gave them all the details I had, including names, phone numbers, and email addresses of the scammers who took over ?50k from me. But guess what? They didn't do anything about it!

I got a reply from them after 8 weeks saying that they couldn't find any leads to start a criminal investigation. What a waste of time and tax payers' money! I mean, what's the point of having an organization like this if they can't even take action against scammers?

I'm really disappointed with ActionFraud.org.uk. They should be doing more to protect people from scams like this. It's not fair that innocent people like me have to suffer because of their incompetence. I wouldn't recommend this website to anyone.

ActionFraud.org.uk Disappointing Experience Reporting Cheque Fraud to ActionFraud.org.uk

I recently reported a cheque fraud to ActionFraud.org.uk and was disappointed with the lack of action taken by the organization. Despite filling out a report and providing evidence of the crime, I never received a 28 day update letter. After making two phone calls, I finally received an email stating that they did not have enough information on the crime. I was frustrated to learn that they had not even bothered to ask for the evidence that I had already stated I possessed.

It was disheartening to feel like my time and effort had been wasted in reporting the crime. I was left feeling like Action Fraud did not care about the situation or the impact it had on me. I would advise others who have been scammed to be cautious when reporting to Action Fraud, as it seems that they may not take the necessary steps to investigate and take action against the perpetrators.

Overall, my experience with ActionFraud.org.uk was disappointing and left me feeling unsupported. I hope that in the future, they will take a more proactive approach to investigating and preventing fraud.

ActionFraud.org.uk ActionFraud's Incompetence: A Frustrating Experience Reporting a Scam

I had a bit of a run-in with these ActionFraud people the other day. I had some bloke try to scam me out of six grand by selling me a car and asking for payment through PayPal. He said he'd refund me if I didn't want it, but come on, who falls for that? Anyway, I tried to report it to ActionFraud, but their system was down and I had to wait on the phone for ages just to find out. I had to call back the next day and they told me to report it to PayPal, even though it wasn't really their problem. I had to wait on the phone again for ages. Honestly, they don't seem to have any common sense and it was a total waste of time.

ActionFraud.org.uk Disappointing Response from ActionFraud.org.uk: My Experience Reporting a Fraud Case

I had a terrible experience with ActionFraud.org.uk. I reported a fraud case to them about a company that I paid for a CSCS card, but I never received it. The company was even trading under a fake name and address, and I gave Action Fraud all the information with solid evidence. However, after about two months of reporting the case, they finally sent me a letter stating that they were not prepared to take the case on. They also sent me a little booklet with information on how to spot or avoid fraud, but it was of no use at all.

I was extremely disappointed with their response. I felt like they didn't take my case seriously and didn't do anything to help me. It was a waste of my time and effort to report the fraud to them. I expected more from a website that claims to help people who have been victims of fraud.

I think ActionFraud.org.uk needs to improve their services. They should take every case seriously and investigate thoroughly. They should also provide more useful information to victims of fraud, instead of just sending out a useless booklet. I hope they will take my feedback into consideration and make the necessary changes to improve their services.

ActionFraud.org.uk ActionFraud.org.uk: Room for Improvement in Response Time and Communication with Victims

I had a pretty bad experience with ActionFraud.org.uk a few years back. I reported an incident online, but unfortunately, nothing was done about it and I never received a reply. The amount of money I lost wasn't much, but it was still frustrating to not hear anything back from them except for the initial email confirming they received my report.

Fast forward to this year in March, and my disabled friend became a victim of fraud. I helped him report it over the phone, but unfortunately, we received the same treatment as I did a few years ago. We only received an email from Action Fraud confirming they received the report, and when I called to follow up, I was told that the police haven't looked at it yet. I'm not holding my breath that they ever will.

I understand that perhaps the amount my friend lost wasn't big enough to warrant immediate attention, but it's still disheartening to feel like nothing is being done to address these issues. We even signed the petition, hoping to bring more attention to the matter.

Overall, I think ActionFraud.org.uk has a lot of room for improvement in terms of their response time and communication with victims. It's important for people to feel like their reports are being taken seriously and that action is being taken to prevent future incidents.
