AARP Services review: AARP should not partner with foremost insurance

My parents are 93 and live in a senior trailer park. They have Foremost Manufactured Home Insurance. They are long term clients. They have faithfully paid their premiums for years. In January 2026, my father asked me to check his bathroom floor. It was very spongy and soft. I found his policy and found a number to call to report it the next day. He called the next day and started a claim. The hot water line between their bathroom and utility room where washer and dryer was leaking. At no time was there ever standing water or any visible evidence of a leak. The floor of the bathroom was completely destroyed as well as part of the utility and their bedroom. There was 2-3 feet of black mold under the rug in their bathroom. The claim was entirely denied, not one penny paid. There were three reasons given in writing.
1. It was normal wear and tear.
2. It should have been reported earlier when no signs were present. Not a spot of water visible.
3. My father reported it ONE day late. Although that really did not matter because reason 2 was already given. He should have reported it before anyone was aware of it.
I asked for an appeal, I am not sure one was done, the same person just denied again. I made a BBB complaint and a complaint to the Iregon Insurance Commissioner. They did not even answer the BBB complaint. They let it close on their record. Although we got another denial. I have been giving them reviews. I noticed something in their reviews online. If it is based on customer reviews, they get 1-2 stars. If it is a review by the industry they get 4 stars. Customers hate them! I do not believe that AARP should partner with them or suggest them at all. This is not a company that serves customers well. There are thousands of senior trailer parks. They sell this useless insurance to seniors on a very small budget, my parents pay roughly $2,000 a year for them to deny as wear and tear a hot water leak inside a wall!
