Wow! What a super crew! Gerson and his team were personable, efficient, and quick with my move yesterday which provided me with some relief after dealing with flooding issues in our condo past few weeks. They handled my items with care and were diligent in asking all right questions to thoroughly understand my needs.

I had a wonderful experience with 495 movers. They ate so professional from the moment they provided me a quote, took a detailed inventory list and sent 3 movers to professionally pack my high end Funiture. Gerson and his crew are amazing. I'm so grateful I selected them. Now I'm just hoping the delivery will be as great as the initial 2 out of 3 steps of the process.

I would give 10 stars if I could! This was hands down the easiest and more pleasant moving experience I have ever had. Thank you 495 Movers for taking such thoughtful and careful attention to my belongings. The movers were prompt, professional and courteous, wore PPE equipment and everything arrived at my new home in perfect condition. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

495 movers was a great experience. The crew was wonderful. Cooperative in every way. The were helpful and took care of all my things. There was nothing damaged or broken. No marks on the walls in either house. I would have no hesitation in recommending 495 Movers. I also want to say that they were extremely understanding when I had to change my move date 3 times due to building delays. In house staff is polite and courteous.

We got 495 Movers to handle our move. Over the past 15 years we've moved a number of times including overseas to Asia as well as cross country to CA. 495 Movets were very professional, easy to work with and the movers they sent did a wonderful job. Quick and thorough and very pleasant bunch. Needless to say, all moves are very stressful. Working with a professional group like 495 Movers eliminated a lot of the stress. Thank you.

This is the third time I've used 495 for a move. They are on time, no surprise charges at the end, very professional movers who know how to pack items and move them - with no damage and on schedule. This move involved two stops to unload. All items ended up in the right place and unloaded as specified. The movers are polite, accommodating and proficient. I've tried two other companies in the past but I always come back to 495. They are the best!

We were impressed with 495 Movers from the start. Daniel and his crew worked extremely hard all day packing and loading a far larger amount of household stuff than expected. Despite the workload (and lots of stairs) the whole crew remained friendly and reassuring throughout the day. All of our furniture was set up in our new apartment without a hitch and not so much as a chip out out of a big glass desk. Competitive pricing and attention to detail means I'd highly recommend this company!

Gerson and his crew were PHENOMENAL…to say the least! My items were expensive and extremely fragile. I had a horrible experience with another moving company prior. Gerson reassured me that they would package and transport my items with care, and that's exactly what they did. The only downside to my experience was that I paid almost twice of what was quoted, HOWEVER, the time and care that they took made my experience worthwhile and nothing was damaged. I will DEFINITELY be using their services again specifically requesting Gerson and his crew!

This was our second time moving in the past two years. We chose this company for both moves. The first move was from Cleveland and the second move was local, within MD. We received an outstanding / exceptional treatment in both moves. The guys were super courteous, professonal, and careful with our belongings. Moving is always stressful, but with individuals walking us through each step of the way, I can say with confidence, the move was much more relaxed. I hope I never have to move again, but if I do, I know who I'm going to call. Thank you 495 Movers!

495 movers was an outstanding company to work with all around.. from their office team to their amazing moving crews, they were exceptional! Beginning to end their communication and professionalism was fantastic! The moving crews went above and beyond to ensure all items were properly protected and would make it safe to my destination. I've worked with many moving companies since I move a lot but this is the only company I would call again for my next move. Thank you again to everyone at 495 movers for making my move to FL such a smooth and efficient process!

The move was very extensive and the crew completed in two hours less time than projected. Overall they did a great job with packing and loading at the property I vacated. They also did a wonderful job with furniture placement and set up in my new home. My only complain involves placement of the boxes. I packed 50 boxes in total and they were clearly marked which room they should be placed in. It is now 2 days past the move. We are finding boxes all over the house where they don't belong. I'm not talking a couple of boxes but many. Boxes marked basement are in the garage. Boxes marked master bedroom are in the office. You get the point. Some are very heavy. My husband and I are in our 60s. It is difficult to carry the many boxes in the wrong location where they belong. That's why we hired movers.

This was our first time using professional movers and we could not have been happier with the service. As soon as our house hit the market, our mailbox was bombarded with moving company ads that I reached out to for quotes. Dean with 495 gave me a call almost immediately after filling out their online form and set up a FaceTime virtual walk thru for the next day. The entire process was easy and streamlined, and the free box delivery was a huge advantage over the other moving companies we were considering. On the day of the move, Junior and his crew arrived right on time and worked tirelessly throughout the day. I was particularly nervous about moving our antique piano but the team took great care of it and all of our furniture to set it up in our new house exactly where we wanted it. I would happily recommend 495 Movers!

I have no idea if this company is a good moving company. What I do know is for the past 3 days they have been calling my phone asking first for a wrong name then for a different wrong name, even though my voice-mail says my name is Emily. I told the first caller that they have the wrong number. I then subsequently told 4 other employees they have the wrong number. I even blocked their number and they just called from other office lines to get through. I don't know if this is a scam company or what but if I get another call from them I'm going to file a ComplaintsBoard.com report because this is spam calling at this point. At a minimum I would never use this company because clearly there is a huge lack of communication among staff and I don't know who this unidentified person is but I imagine if they haven't gotten hold of her in three days then she's not a happy customer either.

They talk a good game about customer service and are very friendly over the telephone. But in the areas that actually matter for a moving company, they seem to cut a lot of corners. Here is my experience: First, when they came to pack up my studio, they missed several cabinets with dishes, which I then had to request a friend to go pick up for me and ship separately. Second, they never offered me insurance when I signed up for the move, so when they then proceeded to break an expensive lamp, I received only a small fraction of its value. Even that small amount was only "as a gesture of goodwill" after I complained. Third, even though I scheduled my move several months in advance, they actually double-booked it with another move and then arrived 8 hours late, well into the evening, for the delivery. I have no intention of using them again in the future.

All around great service, and I would definitely book again! Josh came for my in home estimate, which was informative, no pressure and accurate. I got about 6 quotes and half of the companies quoted a lower price because they majorly underestimated the amount of stuff. Kudos to Dean for answering all of my questions before booking. On move day, the team of movers were awesome. They were quick, courteous and efficient. They moved everything into a 495 storage unit. In between storing and the second part of my move, Kira kept in contact to make sure the second half of our move was well coordinated. On move day #2 Rodrigo and Nelson arrived at 7:30 am in New Jersey with our truck from Maryland and moved half of our stuff into an apartment and the other half into a storage unit 25 mins away. This crew was also amazingly efficient, hardworking, and did a great job carefully transporting and setting up our stuff. I was really nervous about selecting a moving company and so happy I went with 495!

While some may think that paying a little bit more will provide a better or more professional service, that absolutely does not hold true for 495 Movers. We experienced a multitude of issues throughout the entire process from in-home estimation all the way to delivery. - Our in-home estimation was provided by one of their "Vice Presidents" and ended up costing us 40% more than we expected on move-day. After fighting for weeks over both the phone and email, 495 Movers gracefully decided to compensate us for most, but not all, of the overage. This is despite their website that states they will hold true to their estimates. - Both sets of packing and delivery personnel felt out-sourced and took little to no care with our belongings or home's walls. Even to the point of arguing over breaking some of our things on-the-spot and then demanding we tip them before they would leave. - Disassembly and reassembly of our two large furniture items left us with a broken dining room table, including multiple sheared-off and stripped screws. We opted not to have them attempt to assemble our other furniture item. - Many of our belongings and collectibles had been tossed around and then poorly packed, which resulted in multiple damages that neither the insurance company nor 495 Movers would compensate us for. Several items would have been missed completely during packing if we had not been diligent in picking-up after the employees. This experience was one of those lessons that reminded us that if you want something done right, it is better to do it yourself. Or, at least do not ask 495 Movers to participate.

We selected 495 movers for our cross state move from the D.C. metro area to Massachusetts. The initial quote they provided me was $1,000 less than what they said the actual cost came out to be even though the quote was for full packing to be done by them, but we ended up doing it ourselves to keep packing and labor fees to a minimum. In delivering my furniture, there was damage to my nightstand. When the movers left, they also said that the remaining deposit we had to pay was incorrect. At this point, I've called multiple times to sort it out, but keep getting their voicemail and leaving a message. I have not gotten a call back even though it's been a few weeks at this point.

495 Movers dropped three cases of wine and scratched my dresser during the move. The movers did not inform me of the damage until after they had opened the boxes, disposed of the broken bottles, and re-packaged the remaining bottles into company boxes. When I asked where the broken bottles were disposed of, they could not show me. When I went down to the truck in the loading area, there were no bottles in the building's recycling/trash area and only a stained box left in the truck that I was able to take a picture of. Because the movers removed evidence of damage, I was not able to have a fair insurance claim. 495 Movers is offering to settle outside of the insurance company, for more than what the insurance offered but less than what I would have gotten with a fair claim, and only if I sign an agreement that states "I further agree to keep the fact of settlement and the terms of this release confidential and private. In addition, I further agree that I will not will not criticize, demean, malign or otherwise comment disparagingly or negatively about any of the Released Parties, nor shall I publish (including posting on the Internet) or authorize the release or disclosure of any information or statement that would criticize, demean, malign, or disparage any of the Released Parties." 495 Movers says that there is nothing they can do to work with the insurance company and cannot remove the clause from their agreement.

This company is trying to scam me out of my money. They quoted me $1496, but demanded I pay more money after a moving job which they purposely delayed in order to charge me more money. They removed the availability for me to see the quote they had given me in the quote email. At first when I clicked on the link, it showed they quoted me $1496, but now it won't show anything. They purposely removed it to try to cover their trail. I have already paid them $1,725 after they insisted I pay more money for a very sorry job they had done. Now they are seeking an additional $1,300! That is crazy! They messed up our (my parents and me) move, lied about what they had done, and are trying to charge me more than twice as much as they had quoted me. The owner called me on the phone. He was extremely rude to me, told me I would lose if we ever went to court over this and tried to back me into paying even more money than I had already paid. He yelled at me and ended up hanging up on me. He was extremely unprofessional! They lied and said they had packed boxes which they did not pack to help account for the time they are charging me for, they had a least 1 of the 3 employees they had sent to my apartment not accounted for as to why he had not been working (according to the 1 of 3 movers who could actually speak English). They also took over an hour for a lunch break and to meet with their boss while I was waiting for them to arrive at my next home (they were moving our things into 2 separate homes; my parents new place and mine). They purposely packed my things in a way which they claimed they had to come back to my place after unloading only some items in my new place after I had gone over with them more than once that I needed my things loaded last, because my house would be the first stop. After purposely loading my items on the truck out of place, they told me they would have to come back to my new house (The first stop they were moving our things to) after they finished moving my parent's things at their home, just so they could have an excuse to charge me more money. The guy who could speak English told me he understood that my items needed to be loaded last, since my new house would be the first stop, yet that was not what he had ended up doing. They took twice as long to complete my move as they quoted me. They purposely added extra time, to try to scam me out of my money. This has caused me much distress and heartache. They have a reputation for doing this. I have read other reviews elsewhere, where people complained of similar behavior. They knew in advance of my move that I could not afford to pay more than what I've already ended up paying (explained money was tight, before the move took place so I could only afford to pay what I was quoted. I ended up paying more, which really hurt me a lit, financially), yet they are heartless, don't care and are still trying to swindle me out of more money. They have also done damage to our property which I do not appreciate! They are a very unprofessional company, and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody!
