Zips Car Wash review: Damage to jeep during car wash

July 2,2026- My birthday- took my jeep thru the ZIPS car wash

When you drive up to enter the line to select pay for the car wash there is 1 Sign visible that states No Dullies and take all items out of the bed of a truck before entering. This is before you ever enter to select and purchase the car wash. I purchased a car wash and attendant assisted took my payment. I drove up the lane and there were no signs for any warnings that they are not responsible for any potential damage caused by there car wash. The LIGHT Bar on My jeep which was secured tightly to my jeep was ripped off my jeep in the middle of the wash. when we were able to get out of the car wash I immediately found the manager and advised what happened. They retrieved my damaged light bar from inside the car wash, they took all the pictures of the light bar the damaged brackets and entered the claim with my information. I had to wait for a few days and when I heard nothing I returned to the car wash and was told by the Managers that they could see my claim was received and it was approved and they had my email incorrectly listed. They made multiple attempts to get it fixed it didn't happen. They had me take a picture of the approval and the next steps I was to take. I had to go get 2 estimates for this to be fixed and submit. Since they didn't get my email fixed I was not able to submit to their portal but the person Kyle West that was working my file advised for me to email them to him. I sent the email and after another a week with a couple follow-ups asking for next steps I was advised that they changed their mind and were not going to accept the claim my light bar was not factory installed it was after market. THEY HAVE NO SIGNAGE That would have warned me and not one of the attendants advised either. I sent pictures asking this company to do the right thing as they have nothing posted advising that you are entering at your risk. A week has passed and nothing back no acknowledgement nothing. This company does not want to take accountability and that is the worse part; ZIPS CAR WASH accepted and approved the claim had me go out and spend time getting estimates and continued follow up to ultimately go back and change your mind and deny this. THERE WAS NO VISIBLE SIGNAGE stating you enter at your own risk. Attached are the pictures that were taken at this location that shows nothing posted.
