Hi. I have had multiple issues with my dealings with Window World in San Antonio. I have tried to resolve these issues, but they are never addressed. No one from Window World has ever apologized for the mistakes they have made, or the ways that they have possibly even broken the law. In April of 2022, I had Window World come to my house to measure for 9 new windows. My salesman told me that there was a promotion where the person who referred me to WW would get a gift card. I gave him my friend's name and info who referred me. I never received the gift card. When my windows were first installed, I don't believe they were installed correctly, including one was faulty, that never should have been installed at all. The first time I tried to open the living room windows and then lock them again, they would not lock. I contacted my salesman, who said he would put an order in with the installation guys. This was never resolved. Multiple times and multiple people came out to try and fix the issue. New sashes were ordered, and installed, and someone different came out to adjust them multiple times, etc. Meanwhile, I ordered upstairs windows in a second order from WW so that I could have windows that matched. Matt Bomba finally came to my house after about a year, in regard to the downstairs windows, and told me that he would order me a new living room window. I asked him about the kitchen windows, and why there were so many gaps. He laughed and told me that it was "an operator error." He took out some type of tool and readjusted one of the windows. I told him that it was ridiculous to think that a tool would need to be used every time I opened or closed a window, and he, again, told me that I was not opening my windows properly. I asked him about the lack of caulking around the windows, and the extensive water that had gotten into my kitchen. (someone came out to caulk the windows about 7 months after they were installed.) When he left I texted him and asked him about the gift card that I was promised. He asked me what the amount was, and I told him that I did not recall the specific amount, but was told it was a "nice gift card." He told me that he would "look into it", but never did. When the new window for the living room came in, WW kept calling and trying to get me to get the upstairs windows installed at the same time as the replacement window, which I refused. I told them repeatedly that they could install the replacement first, and then that window finally worked correctly, we could talk about the upstairs windows. The general manager, Lindsey Hanson, called me on September 5th, and left me a message about setting a date for the upstairs window installation. She told me that if I did not contact her and set a date for the window installation by Friday, Sept 8th, that she was going to contact an attorney. I called her back and told her that it was preposterous for her to threaten me with an attorney, because I did not have any unpaid for items at my house, and no services were rendered which had not been paid for in full. I started talking about all of the issues that I had had with my windows, and she said "if you had such a bad experience, why are you ordering more windows from us?" I set a date for the installation of the one replacement window. Saul was the tech that came to install the replacement window, and he told me right away that the other living room window was not square, nor were the kitchen windows, which is why there were so many gaps. He installed the replacement window and fixed the other living room window, and we set up a date for him to fix the kitchen windows and the laundry room windows. When he came to fix the kitchen windows, he mentioned that the upstairs windows that were going to be installed were not the same as my downstairs windows. I immediately called the office and texted Matt Bomba. I was NEVER TOLD that the upstairs windows would be a different brand, and not the same as the downstairs windows. The tech told me that Window World no longer used Simonton Windows as there "go to"window, because there were so many issues with them. Matt Bomba told me that it was a mistake that I was never told. He told me that they could order me the Simonton window, or that I could have the different windows with a markdown that I felt was appropriate. I told him (after looking at photos of both windows together), that I would accept the new windows in place of a zero balance (I owed roughly $1600, I think), as a way to make up for all of the ridiculous mishaps that WW had put me through for more than a year. He declined and told me that they would take $500 off of my balance due, or order me more Simonton Windows. He never offered me a refund until I told him that I could absolutely get a refund back. I then texted him back and told him that I had done some research and saw that Window World, in my opinion, had violated the Deceptive Trade Practices Act in the following way, because it is 1. against the law to offer a promotion and never give the promised promoted item out (in this case a gift card). 2, It seems as if it is against the law for a company to threaten legal recourse to a customer if there is no actionable offense, so it seems that when the general manager, Lindsey Hanson called me and threatened to call a lawyer on me if I didn't set a date for the upstairs window install, she was actually breaking the law. (what makes this even more ironic, is that they kept pushing me to get the upstairs windows installed, when they knew they were not the matching windows that I thought I had ordered.) 3. WW seems to continuously guarantee a "maintenance free window" with a "professional installation", and my experience was the opposite of this. For over a year, I had windows that did not operate properly, and could not get a solution from WW. It took Matt Bomba a year to come out to my house and order a new window for me. No one from Window World every so much as apologized for any of my inconveniences. I am happy to provide all of the text messages between Matt Bomba and myself, and the emails, and the voice message from Lindsey Hanson. I believe that the DTPA was violated in multiple ways by San Antonio Window World.

Claimed loss: a year of anger and frustration and dismay having to constantly address issues with windows that were never installed properly

Desired outcome: First off, I would appreciate a response, because I am not sure if the issues that I am having are just outcomes of a culture that Window World has, or if these egregious behaviors are somehow just in San Antonio. Thank you for your time
