I took my car to WEATHERFORD BMW for repairs after it got broken into. They initially estimated the cost to be around $550. But later, to my surprise, they increased it to about $4,700. When I got my car back, they hadn't done the additional work they charged me for. Not only that, they also caused more damage to my car and tried to hide it, but failed. They were unreasonable and ignored my phone calls. I immediately contacted the Bureau of Automotive Repairs (BAR). Agent Phil Rice confirmed my findings and discovered even more violations. While getting repair estimates, I found out that WEATHERFORD BMW admitted to the fraud. However, they are still trying to make deals through Mr. Rice instead of going to court. The BAR is taking action against WEATHERFORD BMW for their violations.

I bought a new car from Weatherford *** and got it on May 15, 2022. I filled out all the forms, including the CA NONRESIDENT MILITARY (NRM) VEHICLE LICENSE FEE AND TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT FEE EXEMPTION form and gave them a copy of my military ID. The person in charge was ***. On July 22, I asked about my permanent license plates through ***, but I didn't get a response. On July 26, I asked the *** Sales Mgt Team about the status of my plates (I got a generic email thanking me for my business). I specifically mentioned that I wouldn't be able to drive my car to work once the temporary tags expired. On July 26, *** from Weatherford *** Sales Mgt Team replied and said he would send me forms for my wife and me to sign. These were the same blank forms I had already submitted on May 15, 2022, but now there was a separate form for my wife. I got them on Friday, July 29, 2022, and we signed them right away and sent them back via Fedex (they only paid for weekday delivery). The tracking said they were delivered back to Weatherford on Monday, August 1, 2022. I didn't get a response. On August 9, I emailed them to confirm that they received the signed forms, but I didn't get a response. On August 10, I sent another inquiry asking if they received the forms and reminding them that I couldn't drive my car on the military base after the tags expired on August 13th. I also asked for a phone call from Weatherford. On August 11, I got an email response acknowledging that they received the form and that I would get it soon. But I didn't get a phone call. On August 11, I sent another email asking for a phone call and either temporary tags or a car to drive to work. I didn't get a phone call. I got a call from Corporate on August 11, asking about my satisfaction with my new ***. I asked for help with this issue, and they said *** would contact me. But on August 12, I didn't get a call. So I sent another email saying I wanted tags or a car to drive. Finally, I got a call from ***. He said he could get a car for me. But on August 14, I still didn't get a car, and no one contacted me.
