Waste Management [WM] Trash removal

For the past 3 months my trash has not been getting picked up on a regular basis. I am the only WM customer on the small street and the new route drivers are lazy and don't want to come down the street. They blame it on a "low wire" which has been there for the entire 7 years o have had service and its never been a problem until a few months ago when a new crew was assigned to the rough. The wire is also not a problem for another trash company which comes faithfully each week for many of my neighbors. That is why I canceled WM changed companies. I tried to have a manager resolve it many times but no one cares from WM about their customers. Now they won't come pick up their cans which they had me put out for them ad its been 3 weeks and when I call to see when they are coming, they said that it's marked as retrieved. ...so the drivers and managers keep lying because they are still at the end of my driveway...

Waste Management [WM] Landfill throwing stuff into ground not paying attention what in garbage bags

I would like make complaint against landfill thrown things until ground not paying attention whats in the garbage bags. Also was told by front desk landfill springfill thrown away dirty syrings and other things with burying under dirty. I believe there should dig up all dirt and do thorough search dig up things dont suppose to be bury into the dirt.

Desired outcome: I would like dig up things don't belong in the landfill.

I was wondering does anyone know about the waste management now check the garbage there burying underneath the dirt. I was told by worker that bury dirty syringe needles under soil and they pay attention where bury into the soil. I think their thorough search where everything dug to see what's being bury into the dirt because no one wants to get sick from something shouldn't be there in the soil like dirty syringe.

Waste Management [WM] Waste Management Truck and Truck Driver

I was driving on Interstate I-24 headed to Nashville when a wooden pallette flew off the top of the waste management truck directly at my car, the Truck Driver had debris/trash overflowing from the top of the truck and it wasn't secure, the wooden pallette flew off the top of the truck at my car, it was like a scene out of a movie and very horrifying, I swerved the car but still hit the pallette, i tried to honk the truck driver down but he kept driving. The truck was overflowing with trash, wood, wooden debris from a construction site, it was several other small pieces of wood that flew off the truck but the huge wooden pallette was what hit my car

Desired outcome: Waste Management needs to fix the damage to my car, there's pieces of my car that are hanging from the undercarriage because of the impact with the wooden pallette

Waste Management [WM] Missed pick up 4 yard dumpster service

We are so frustrated about the missed pick up without notice in advance or even without notice and the price keep going up from $2XX to $4xx with contract, the service dropped dramatically. It has been happened 2 months. WM always missed the pick ups. My schedule is fixed for Tue and Fri every week and usually in early morning . However, WM always missed it and notice me after a day or the same day evening , which is not noticed you in advance. I called them and ask WM Manager call me back. But no one call me back about this at all and I have to call back again, but there is no manager at all or even the employee to apology about this. They just said because the shortage of driver. so it is my fault? I paid for a service, but I have to deserve like this? WM is a big company. how could this happened again and again? WM just send me a new contract by email with less explanations and wanna try to ask for more yrs service. this is what the solution they has. bad service and ask for more business. In addiction, I always found that the bill is keep going up every month. I had signed 3 yrs contract before. Their reply is like, cuz there is no fixed rate. Then I was like what is the contract for? the missed pick up really buzzing me. Cuz we are a countertop company, we always has to remove customer old countertop everyday. If WM always missed my pick up. I have no space to put my garbage. I have to put the rest in my working area and wait for the next pick up. HOWEVER, THEY KEEP MISSED THE PICK UPs. IT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

Right now, It becomes more and more serious. For example, WM originally should come this Fri Aug. 26th, 2022 morning. However, they missed it and never noticed me in advance. And I got the email they moved to sat Aug 27, 2022. And I found that an update email by Fri 5:15pm it said Your waste service for Saturday, August 27, 2022 is now scheduled to be completed Monday, August 29, 2022. This is the problem. I never received an email said Missed Fri pick up and will pick up on sat and now they will move to Monday. And I want to report the missed pick up. there is no way on the website can report it. I don't know why the button is missing too. and I found my WM account is shown the next pick up on Tue which is Aug 30th is my regular schedule date. So is WM gonna charge me 2 times pick up per week to do 1 time pick up? If they delayed the pick up on Monday. But my regular is on Tue. there is no much things for them to pick up on Tue. it kind of waste due to their delay. I hope you guys can help me to fix this problem. thanks a lot

Desired outcome: I want their manager to explain to me what happened right now and why keep missed the pick up? And I need the compensation for my bill due to WM Keep missed my pick ups and hard to contact them

Waste Management [WM] No service

I called for a claw pick up for yard waste on Tuesday August 23rd they said the truck would be at my house 830 West Virginia St Cocoa Fl on Thursday to no avail so I called and said they missed the scheduled date they said they were sorry they were running behind in Brevard County but would reschedule. My yard waste is still in my yard . Today is Saturday the August 27th and it is killing my grass. This is not the first time I have filed a complaint. If you look up my records they continue to fail when I call for yard waste pick up. Donna Horton

You [censored] need to make up your freaking minds. You tell all Frontline employees ( the drivers and loaders sweating and freezing their [censored] off to meke this damn company what it is today) hurry and get your routes done but be safe. As a 26 year employee,you market, district, company,managers all you are concerned about is your end of year bonus. Screw everyone of you. Respect the true workers instead of the pack of [censored] working in a air conditioned office and never through a bag of trash in your life.

Desired outcome: Respect the Frontline employees instead of padding your god damn pockets at the end of the year. Why don't the drivers and loaders get a yearly bonus, you cheap m f' ers

Waste Management [WM] Im still waiting for landfill do thorough search for missing clothes as told would do thorough search

To whom may concern: I'm still waiting talk to James Fish, because I was told the employees landfill do search for my missing clothes still haven't done anything yet. I just want thorough search as was told they did dig see clothes bury but didn't. I'm still waiting for them to see if clothes bury as told would dig originally along with doing thorough search. To see, if possible, retrieve my missing clothes. I would like to know who work that day because see waste management truck come pick up trash. Thanks

Desired outcome: Retrieve clothes from landfill even though sometime have pass since been thrown away by accident.

Waste Management [WM] Residential garbage pick-up

Today on 8/25/2022 at 6215 Streamwood Lane, Matteson, IL 60443, I set garbage bags outside on the curb to be picked up today. I had 15 bags in addition to the 96-gallon container. The associate who picked up the garbage refused to take all 15 bags and stated he could only take 2 yards. He left 5 bags on the curb. I called Waste Management and was told the limit is up to 3 yards, which is approximately 15 bags. I've been living here for over 35 years and never an experienced like this. This is the second time I have had to complain about the same associate who comes to pick up garbage. He told me I needed to get another truck to come out for a charge or hold on to the bags and set them out for next week pick up. I guess he makes his own rules of what he can do and cannot do. I really wish he would never come on my route to pick up my garbage again.

Desired outcome: This needs to be addressed to him he can take 3 yards and remove him from my route

Waste Management [WM] Customer service

8/24/22 I called today to cancel my trash service. I was on hold for 2 hours. Nobody answered my call. While I was on hold I went to the waste management website. I saw the support at the top of the page so I clicked on it. I saw cancel service so I clicked on that. I saw live chat and then some phone number. Well I was already on hold for over an hour so I chose live chat. I told them I waned to cancel my service and that I was on the phone on hold. That person lets me know they can't cancel service over the live chat and that I needed to just stay on hold. I was on hold for 2 hours nobody ever answered. I tried to call back and found out they close at 4:50pm so I was on hold for 40 minutes for no reason. The reason I'm canceling my service is because you charge way too much. I am a single person living by myself and I have one trashcan my bill if I chose to stay with you is $187.60 for 3 months. Now this price goes up every time I have a payment. I know someone who has a family and they have 2 trashcans and they pay $130 every 3 months. Something doesn't seem right. I have complained about this before and my bill was reduced for a few payments but it started going up again. I don't want to hear about fuel prices causing it to go up because fuel prices have dropped but my bill goes up. I want my service canceled immediately. Tomorrow 8/25/22 is trash pick up day and that will be the last pick up.

You need to change your cancel service button on your website and take the live chat off being you can't cancel your service through the chat. I am copying this for documentation.

Waste Management [WM] Broken 96 gal trash can with broken (now completely removed) lid.

I have filed multiple requests for repair of trash can / lid, it has now been 5 months and still no resolution. Both can and lid were damaged when I moved into the residence. I was given commitment dates through website which are never met. Called and discussed issue with live person, told it could be up to 12 weeks... Now coming on 20 weeks... For a lid... Crazy. I have been trying to get this issue resolved is april 2022.

Desired outcome: Replace can and lid.

Waste Management [WM] container removal fee

I started with WM in April of 2021 and was offered a special price of 60.80 every 3 months (confirmation # [protected]). Since that time, my bill has increased to the current amount of 92.69 every 3 months. I did not agree to and was not notified of these increases. I cancelled my service and was made aware of the 75 dollar pick up fee. I offered to bring my cans to the company site and was unable to do that. I would like the additional 32 dollars that I have paid over the past 9 months to be applied to this pick up fee. I talked to a supervisor who was very rude and unhelpful. I am in the process of leaving bad reviews on every site I can find. Very unhappy with service at WM. Robin Behr 4990 twin gulch ct colorado springs

Desired outcome: I want the additional amount I have paid each month in addition to my initial agreed upon service cost of 60.80 every three months.

Waste Management [WM] Trash and Yard waste pickup

Aug 18 Powder creek off Foley road Belleville IL schedule for Thursday’s Trash pickup did not happen. Cans in place the night before. Truck blasted thru the neighborhood and picked nothing up. Called the next morning. It will be picked up on Friday or Sat. Did not happen. Neighbor called told Friday or Monday. Did not happen. Called myself on Monday it’ll be picked up Tuesday (today) did not happen. And each time the job is shown completed on the phone self service line. Someone in the Belleville area is lying and falsifying reports of completion. this has also happened two times in the last two months with yard waste. We pay full price for partial service. Let us know if we need to look for other service please

Desired outcome: Pick up as scheduled not a week late. It stinks and the neighborhood looks terrible

Waste Management [WM] Large Item Pickup

I scheduled a large item pickup for August 10th, 2022 (king mattress). As of today (8/22/22) the item remains at the end of my driveway. I have called Waste Management’s customer service line every day since 8/11/22 (sometimes multiple times a day). Each day I receive one of three responses:

• “The item is scheduled to be picked up today.”

• “Our system shows the item has already been collected.”

• “We will be sure to have a Route Manager contact you within 24–48 hours to let you know exactly when your item will be retrieved.”

Regardless of the response, my item remains at the end of my driveway. A Route Manager has never attempted to call me, and a service for which I am paying is not being completed. I am told every day that someone will be there that day to pick up the mattress, so I am afraid to bring it back in the garage in case I miss the pickup.

However, my neighbors are complaining, I have spent several hours on the phone, and Waste Management absolutely refuses to perform their service, or put me in contact with anyone who can help me.

I feel like I’m being held hostage over a trivial matter (garbage pickup), as mattress disposal options are very limited in my area.

I don’t know what to do.

Waste Management [WM] Cancelation fees

Canceled service July 30 2022. We have had service with you for 7 years. Received a bill for $86.91 so called to find out why. Was told being charged $50 to pick up container and $36.91 for environmental. Never had contract and never agreed that I would pay to have you pick up "Your" container. Our HOA asked for everyone to change service because trucks were damaging our roads or would have continued service. I will no longer recommend you to anyone else.

Waste Management [WM] Garbage service

The recycle guy runs late so he grabs the can starts driving while emptying it then throws it down half down the block. I would appreciate it if my cans were put back near my own home not half down the block. We do pay for this service if he is late it’s not my problem he should still stop pickup the can dump it then drive not pickup the can drive wile dumping it then toss it wherever! Had I known I could attach a video I would have took one since I watched him do it.

Desired outcome: I guess I’ll see if my recycle can ends up at my own house at some point

I don't understand why can't talk owner of the company. I was already told look about associate in suppose be executive office that look and did some digging and look to in one day when wasn't true. I figure since told that at least can go extra mile go ahead do it since wasn't able look while in garbage truck. I was told company worry about losing billion dollars from helping someone find their clothes that wasn't able get access to while in garbage truck be able look before got to landfill. I know there good Samaritan help person out to giving them peace of mind. I notice in this company don't seem like much of that. I hope there one if possible.

Waste Management [WM] Driver of truck #467

Was at Prince William County Landfill on 8/19/2022, at approximately 10am, and driver of truck 467 passed me while I was opening my turnbuckle, I then passed him, since he was so courteous, and he got out and started yelling at me, telling me if I wore the proper shoes, I wouldn't have to do my turnbuckle away from the dumping area. But I have always done this and out of common courtesy, most drivers would wait. The he kept yelling at me, so I got in my truck and shut my door, to get him to leave me alone, and to pull forward to finish dumping, making sure all trash was off, then when I got back in my truck, he had almost backed up to my front bumper, I guess trying to block me in, but fortunately, I am a better driver than he thought and got away from him easily. Then I pulled away and went to an area to close of my truck, and his was videoing me, so I started laughing at him. Would like to state I am a WOMAN, and don't expect this type of stuff from an overbearing man, who is just being plain rude. I will tell you that I met his rudeness with my rudeness, but you should inform your driver to stop harassing women. Totally uncalled for, when he was the one to start this calamity. I am a female driver who drives for Cardinal Disposal and my name is Gina.

Waste Management [WM] Weekly garbage pickup fees and unauthorized overage fees.

We have been charged "overage service fees" without our acknowledgment or agreement for any such charges. These fees started in June of 2022 and July 2022. We never received a phone call, email, or any other notification from the driver or from anyone else. We have been overcharged $268 which we expect to be refunded.

I have spoke with Catherine Maldonado from your Phoenix office, she claims nothing can be done and expect us to consider signing a long term agreement. This is ridiculous. We did authorize any additional charges or increase. It's reasonable to expect communication and confirmation before this would happen.

Waste Management [WM] Waste Management Service Fees

Waste management’s iPhone app is terrible. I couldn’t log on for some reason, and tried to chat with them so I could get my bill paid. After waiting fifteen minutes, being 3rd in queue I gave up. Don’t even bother trying to reach somebody by way of phone.

Once I was able to log in and pay my bill there is a $50 resume service fee, as well as a finance charge. Trying to contact anybody to discuss this, just as ridiculous. Chat window says I do not have a service address, I assume since they’ve cancelled my service. Not sure.

You can’t get ahold of a representative by chat, or phone to resolve issues.

These fees are excessive especially when there was an issue with the app when I tried to pay. I do not even have one of their cans.

Completely dissatisfied with the new ownerships, availability and enormous fees.

Desired outcome: I want my fees waived so I can enroll in auto pay. The fee is higher than my bill for three months of service which is unacceptable.

Waste Management [WM] Garbage and recycling

When your garbage and recycling men pick up the cans they do not make sure the can is fully empty before putting it back down. If there is garbage or recycling still in the cans it goes in the road and they do not get out to put it in the truck. This is the 3rd time it's happened at my residence. We had to stop a truck driver today to pick up the stuff that was left in the toad
