Vayama Cancelled flight, can not get a refund

Vayama Payment or bonus not received

On January 11th 2020 I bought two tickets Medellín - Madrid - Medellín departing on May 21st 2020 (I paid $4.393.124 Colombian pesos) through Vayama, with code VCO-1572084.
Due to Covid19 pandemic, the flights were cancelled, and although Vayama states the airline (Avianca) approved the refund, Avianca firmly states they do not give a refund, but a bonus, that is already approved but it has to be redeemed only with Vayama.
I have written several times and even called Vayama, but so far I have not been able to make the bonus effective.

Desired outcome: I request the refund or the bonus for the same amount aknlowledged by Vayama

Vayama Airline Cancellation Refund

I booked a flight through Vayama in August of 2019. Paid for the flight in full using American Express which was more than $1200. The flight was cancelled by Turkish Air in May 2020. I have been receiving placating emails from customer service at Vayama only when I have contacted them and I get the same response that they are waiting on refund from Turkish Air. It has been more than 18 months since they received my payment in full.

Vayama Will not refund me for almost one year for a flight that they cancelled.

Dear Christakis,

Thank you for your email.

We hereby like to inform your booking VUS-[protected] is active.

Please be informed that we can submit your refund request to the Airline, however, we cannot guarantee until the refund is received from airlines to us. Once received we will process a refund to your card.

Refund time frame will take 1-2 months only when we receive a refund. Kindly confirm to proceed. But still have not received my money.

Vayama Airline Ticket refund

I called United Airlines and they told me that the refund was sent to Vayama on 12/18/20 it was also sent to my email as proof and I still haven't gotten my refund back and all I get is generic emails saying they are waiting for the airline it is my Money not Vayama.com money. I have been waiting since April for my refund. It is way to much time to wait for a refund I should have been received it

Vayama Refund

Vayama is just looting people of their money. They keep sending generic emails about your refund being processed, but no answers on whether it was really filed or not.
I contacted my airlines directly and they asked for the refund application number from Vayama. Vayama has still not given me my refund application number after begging and pleading for over a month.
At this point I have realised vayama has just shut doors and has no employees left to process any of our refunds.
Thoroughly disappointed and dont know where to go and get my $2500.

Vayama No Refund or Recourse

I booked tickets on 05/25. I cancelled my tickets on 08/13 and accepted the penalties. It is now 12/29 and I still have no refund. Vayama does not answer the phones, and the emails are just generic. It seems that there are no people on board anymore. This has cost me $3000. In the future, I will be booking directly with the airlines.

Vayama refund for flight cancelled due to Covid-19

I scheduled an Air Canada flight (AC760) through Vayama that was to depart SFO on June 5, 2020 with a final destination of VCE airport and a return date of July 24 on flight 1907. The flight was subsequently canceled due to Covid-19. Air Canada indicated that I need to go through the travel agent that booked my flight in order to get a refund. I contacted Vayama about a refund and they responded that they would be working with the airline to get me a refund. I would periodically get an update from Vayama (the last of which was on Dec. 4) telling me that they were still working with the airline to get the refund. It is now 12/23 and I have not received the refund or any new updates on the matter. Vayama does not answer their phones and does not respond to my emails.

Vayama After 8 months I am not getting my refund

This is the ticket number bought through Vayama for a LOT Airlines flight.
My flight on April 1st 2020 was canceled due to Covid. According to Vayama customer service, the LOT Airlines have issued my refund and supposedly sent it directly to my account. I have contacted my bank several times over the course of couple of months and they confirmed that there is no problem with processing and IF the refund was sent I would get it, but nothing was sent. I suspect that the LOT Airlines has issued my refund but to Vayama who is holding it and isn't releasing it to my account.
I have been emailing back and forth with Vayama customer service for months now. They keep sending me generic replies and aren't resolving my issue. I bought my ticket through Vayama and they are responsible for giving me back my refund.

Vayama Flight reservation

Last September I purchased a return flight from Vayama and got a reservation number.
A week later I called them to change my flying dates, talked to one of their representative and had my new flight scheduled. I never received any new confirmation number nor any information about my booking.
I took the first flight, the second one is next week and
1) I cannot get in touch with them, the website says something is wrong and there is no way to contact them;
2) the airline company doesn't have any trace of the reservation.

It was just a big scam with apparently no recourse as they don't answer.

Vayama Cancelled flight refund

Tickets bought through vayama for a flight with airline TUIFly Belgium. Airline (TUIFly Begium) cancelled all their US flights due to COVID. I contacted vayama, who referred to me contact TUIFly. I contacted TUIFly whothen referred me to contact vayama. On second contact Vayama stated that they initiated refund proceedings, which never finalized. Vayama then referred me back to TUIFly. I contacted TUIFLy a second time and they have not responded. Neither Vayama nor TUIFly are working towards refunding the cancelled flight tickets.

Vayama Airline ticket

I book my flight to this company VAYAMA and my flt got cancelled by philippine airline supposed to leave on July 4, I've been trying to reach them my email and phone and until now there is no response about my refund, I am thinking to report them to IATA so they will respond to my email

Vayama Correcting a misspelled name

I have been attempting to get this name changed for the past 3 weeks now with no avail and now our flight departs in 8 days.

Every time I send an "email" via the contact, it is not saved as a reference under messages and I do not get a copy sent to my email address. I am unable to call Vayama because the phone number doesn't work.

One of the tickets has been "in fulfillment process" for over a week. It instructs us to contact if it is "in fulfillment" for over 12 hours yet we can't actually contact them.

We need the name "Channel" to be changed to "Channen" on both departure and return tickets.

Also I am on the phone with Aero Mexico (to see if they can correct the misspelled name) and they have informed me that our last names are duplicated and this is going to be a problem for going through immigration. So we also now need to make sure our last name is not duplicated on all departure and return trips.

Hi Denise

As I'm sure you understand, it is not possible to change the name on an airline ticket after it has been sold. If you could do this, what would stop scalpers from buying every seat and re-selling them like tickets to a football game or concert. Have you seen concert prices these days? I'm sure you can just buy another ticket on the same flight or another flight the same day and write the correct name this time.

Firstly, I’m not changing a name but correcting one letter. Regardless vayama has an option to correct a name on their website but because they are not responding I am unable to use that option.
Secondly, I was actually able to have the name corrected for my return flight via AeroMexico.

But thanks for the suggestion to purchase another ticket.

Vayama Not to be able to contact Vayama to change my tickets

The EVA Air tickets I bought through you were cancelled due to Corona. I want to change them.
But all the phone number on their website doesn't work.

Vayama Flight rebooking

I had a flight scheduled for 8/23 and had to postpone my trip, due to COVID-19. I have called everyday to try and talk to someone, in order to change my flight and have not been able to reach anyone. There is no email option either. This has been the most horrendous experience I've ever had.

Vayama Travel booking

I used Vayama to book a flight to Malta. Due to cover-19 and the current travel restrictions to US citizens, I needed to cancel my fight. I cannot reach Vayama by phone( it has been disconnected) I have sent them an e-mail and had no response. I am very upset and don't know what to do. I wish to cancel and get a future credit for my flight. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The flights were cancelled and Vayama will not return my money. I contacted British Airlines and the representative told me the company policy is that when dealing with travel companies the actual company (Vayama) does not have to pay for the flight until after the first flight takes place. Thus Vayama did not pay out any money. I have tried calling the company at [protected] and [protected] and the recording says they are not accepting calls. I have emailed them at least 8 times asking for my back with the same reply - be patient due to Covid...

This is the email I recieved after booking the flights:

Vayama Cancelled flight refund

My flight to bombay on lufthansa (august 1) with my family was cancelled by lufthansa on july 25th. Since then I have been contacting them weekly for my refund. I called lufthansa and they assured me that they have returned the money to vayama.
Since then I have sent an email to them on a weekly basis with no response whatsoever. There was one email initially refusing to pay.
When I explained why I should be paid (my call with lufthansa), there was no response.
Please help!

Vayama Travel agency airline tickets cancelled and no refund

On January 4th, 2020, I purchased three round trip tickets for UA flights from Denver, CO to Glasgow, UK leaving June 20 and returning July 5th at www.vayama.com for $3, 465 (booking number VUS-[protected]). The flights were cancelled in May and we're due a refund. As of 9/2020, no refund and all email inquiries are met with a form email reply. All phone numbers of the company have been shut down.

Vayama Never heard back about the refund for flight cancellation due to covid-19 which HAS BEEN confirmed for full refund

My ticket has been made changes from the airline control due to the covid-19 at march (yes, march!), and I have been told that I was able to ask for a full refund. I emailed vayama about the situation, and I got the email that confirmed: "yes, you are able to get a full refund," and it asked me to confirm by replying "I confirmed, so I did it, I replied" I confirmed, " and then nothing has happened. I didn't get any emails since then to follow up on my case, and I didn't get my money back.

I have emailed yavama a lot, and all the emails didn't take serious of my questions. I start to feel like vayama is trying to steer clear of the crucial point, and it's frustrating.

I understand that it's a challenging situation because of the covid-19, but I have already sent amount of emails to yavama in months, since march. I have tried to be patient. I insist that my case has to be taken seriously and give my full money back.

The screenshots show how many emails I have tried to sent to vayama, and I have been told that I am able to cancel the ticket with a full refund.
