Unable to use or check balance
I was gifted a card however I simply cannot use it. I have tried at multiple vendors (that accept MasterCard) and it always gets rejected.
I have also tried checking balance on the myvanilla site and when entering my card details and pressing "continue", nothing happens.
I'm in the UK and there are only US contact details and no email contact; i'm completely stuck.
Claimed loss: £25
Desired outcome: Usable balance

Prepaid mastercard
We were given a $200 Vanilla Prepaid Mastercard as a baby shower gift. It never worked from the start. We tried online and then in store and was always declined. We called to open a case and was told that the card was attempted to be used in December of 2022. The card was not even purchased from the store until April 2023. The Case was opened in May 24th, 2023 they said it would take 30 days to complete the investigation. August 3rd and they are saying they have not completed the case after calling multiple time and complaints nothing has been done. I feel like i have been robbed and every time i call they tell me to call back in 48 hours and nothing new. i have called around 8 times at this point and there has been no resolution. With providing all documentation requested by Vanilla. I have seen some other people have issues and get no resolution so i am hoping for one ASAP since they were not able to complete it in the timeframe they provided for themselves. No more excuses i want my money and want it now.The case is #[protected]. I also went as far to call the People's trust company to file a complaint with them as they are the issuer of the card.
Desired outcome: I want a refund and an apology. I also feel that they should compensate me for the amount of time i was on hold trying to resolve this issue which is I think $30 per hour for 5 hours would suffice.

Vanilla prepaid gift card
Got a $150 vanilla gift card for my birthday from my kids.
Spent $40 of it in the first week, then 3 weeks later went to place a $90 order and it kept getting declined?
Logged into the card to see what was going on and it turns out there were 2 charges from another city for a pot store purchase. Almost $100.
First off I.dont purchase drugs, secondly I have never been to that city.
I proceeded to call vanilla who opened a " dispute " case.
Said it could take up to 45 days to investigate.
Almost 3 months later after several calls and emails, I received an email with their decision.
They said the investigation had shown that the card was "present " at the time of purchase from the pot shop so there would be no refund.
That is absolutely impossible, I still have the card in my purse, there is not a chance anyone used it "in person".
So because of this "ABSOLUTE LIE" I am now out almost $100.
I am sure they do this often as of course they don't want to pay you, but when it's this blatantly a scam, that's pretty bad.
I am of course going to report this to the BBB and anyone else who will listen.
I have now sworn off gift cards!
Desired outcome: I want the money back that someone else used from MY gift card.
