My sister and I took out a loan with vanderbilt in 2023 for a home to live in since our home burned a few months before. They were nice and accommodating and we made the &1219 loan payment by splitting and kept up with it until the following March. Medicaid took a whopping over half of my social security income check and it didn't leave me the amount I needed to make my part of the payment.Negotioations with them didn't get a reimbursement since they were at fault and we contacted Vanderbilt to let them know what had happened They worked out a plan with us to get back on track but it created a hardship since other bills had came due also.My sister left me and that threw the whole payment over on my shoulders My 14 yr old grandson had to come live with me due to his guardian's decline in health.I kept asking Vanderbilt for a loan modification so I could afford the payments. I was denied every time.My income was only $1220/ month.I kept making partial payments but then I was hit with intent to foreclose. Let me tell you about the condition of the manufactured home that was "brand new". When delivered, the trim all over it keeps falling off.I have major issues with the electrical wiring that altho attempts at having Vmf come fix has never been resolved. They have never ever cm to assess the problem. All sinks have constant plumbing problems , such as leaks and efforts to fix them is a constant battle. The front and back doors instantly allow rain to wash in when it rains and therefore rotting the boards underneath the doors.I could go on and on but the real problem is getting vmf to address any problems that we have .I am thankful for having a roof over our heads and I quit complaining to them after failed attempts to have them address our complaints Now I am trying to fight them over trying to foreclose on me and take my land and home .It is all we have and if they would just fix me a new payment I would continue to pay for this home. They are denying any help.
