I have healthcare.gov medical insurance and had a medical issue I needed to have checked but there were no walk in clinics open at the time. I was advised by the concierge at the hotel in Las Vegas that I had two options which was to go to the hospital ER or their affiliate Elite Medical Center.
I opted for Elite as it was a 10 minute drive from my hotel and the concierge said it would probably be less busy. My issue was minor and did not require that I be admitted to a hospital. What they do not tell you upfront is that they only take commercial insurance so my insurance could not cover anything. I found this out after I had already been checked out by a nurse/physicians assistant.
I am writing this as a warning as the visit alone was $3500. A blood test was almost $500 and a Glucose test was over $450. All of these prices are well over the national average for those services. I may have been able to request a doctors visit to my hotel room cheaper than it was to go to Elite or even worse if I had went to their hospital. I genuinely feel for people with no insurance or with insurance not accepted by Elite Medical/Valley Hospital Medical/Valley Hospital Medical
For reference Elite is associated with Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Recommendation: Beware if you do not have insurance or have insurance through Healthcare.gov
