Vacation Inspirations Condo rental.

Very disappointed in the condo time share we rented and received. Very small, bedroom dark, no window, baths small and same size. Veranda very small, seats for 2 not 4 people. Second bedroom had 1 bed. Boys had to sleep together —not what we wanted. No window in that room, very dark and dreary. People there, continually tried to sell time shares there even when told no twice!

This was our first time with Inspirations, maybe our last. Money for our member service was a waste this time around. Very disappointed. This was not a 5 star condo that I expected.

Desired outcome: Inspiration gave NO remedy to our annual vacation. Jerry stated, ‘there is nothing I can do.” Not service friendly.

Vacation Inspirations Travel club membership

We listened to a presentation by Nick Houghton of Vacation Inspirations. During the slick, high pressure and persuasive presentation Nick Houghton stated that Vacation Inspirations is a travel wholesaler, and they purchase ALL travel at the best price possible in the industry which is even lower than consolidators and other "levels" and that they pass ALL the savings on to the member. Nick mentioned many times that the absolute minimum discount we would receive is 20% with the maximum discount from retail (online pricing) being 50% depending on the type of travel. During the presentation we were required to turn off our cell phones and told not to use them. Nick Houghton stated that the first couple to agree to purchase a travel membership will receive a $1,000 discount and that the membership rate and benefits being offered was only valid for that day... A high pressure sales tactic!

We realized after we left the presentation and signed all the paperwork and paid in full the real reason that they wanted us to turn off our cell phones. It is because they don't want you to see the 90 complaints (now 91) at the SC Dep't of Consumer Affairs and the multitude of complaints at the BBB & other websites. From what we can determine from having read online reviews Vacation Inspirations either provides the same cost as can be found online (the retail cost) or a higher cost which certainly are not wholesale rates and therefore the "membership" and the $ paid for the membership, annual dues and documentation "doc" fee are worthless. The specific amounts were $2,995 membership fee, $199 annual dues, and $399 doc fee for a total of $3,593.

As part of the paperwork, they ask you to agree to many items one of which states: Was your decision to make this purchase based on any type of high-pressure sales tactics? As part of the pressure put on us to make the sale, Lisa Houghton said they require that we answer NO to this question. That of course, in and of itself, is high pressure!

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SIT THROUGH THEIR PRESENTATION AND DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING. THIS IS A SCAM AND THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA AUTHORITIES!

Desired outcome: Full refund in the amount of $3,593

I am in the same boat, but I paid 7k to get the amazing savings they spoke of. I have emails where they provide false numbers to me. They should be put out of business for their deceitful practices.

Vacation Inspirations Travel services

We attempted to book a cruise vacation and requested information within our time parameters for traveling. They said they needed more information from us. We told them we were flexible and gave them information to search for a cruise that we could choose from. They said they could not help us. So, I did THEIR homework as best I could, however I do not have the resources they have, and reached out to them a second time with our request. They again REFUSED to help us and we ended up booking a cruise with a local company. As a result of a gross misrepresentation of their services, we requested our membership be canceled and refunded (in total or part) and were denied.

Desired outcome: Please cancel our membership and refund our money.

Is Vacation Inspirations Legit?

Vacation Inspirations earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds Vacation Inspirations to be a trustworthy company. Although there's a 0% resolution rate for customer complaints, which deserves attention, Vacation Inspirations is known for their high standards and safety. If you're thinking about dealing with Vacation Inspirations, it's wise to check how they handle complaints.

Vacationinspirations.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Vacationinspirations.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.

According to our analysis, Vacation Inspirations appears to be offering travel services on their website. While many travel companies are legitimate, it's important to be cautious and do your research before booking a trip to ensure that you are getting a good deal and not falling victim to a scam.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While Vacation Inspirations has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 10 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • Vacation Inspirations protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
  • The website belonging to Vacation Inspirations has a low number of visitors, which could be a red flag for users. However, it's important to conduct additional research to fully evaluate the website's legitimacy and trustworthiness.

Vacation Inspirations No callbacks, No Response

For months now, I have not received any callbacks from anyone at Vacation Inspirations. They have never been sharing information concerning changes in policy but now they are not even returning my calls regarding upcoming trips.

On the phone calls, the message is "leave a message and we will return your call" however the call is never returned.

Don't know if they are still in business.

Desired outcome: If they are still in business, they should return all calls from members.

Vacation Inspirations The whole package

Nothing was as promised. Can't get the condos for the price they told. Booked with them and got there and it was unavailable. Had to search for somewhere to stay. Everytime you call there is nothing available. Everything that was told at the meeting is not true. The weekly yearly condo is not what they promised, just wondering how many other people have been done this way.

Desired outcome: Would like my money returned for the bogus package

Vacation Inspirations Travel club

I'll spare you the details of how my husband and I were scammed by Vacation Inspirations last weekend while visiting Charleston. The stories are all very similar. One thing that I have discovered, but have not seen posted elsewhere is that the company was ordered to pay restitution by the Texas Attorney General in 2017. Here is a link. https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/ag-paxton-reaches-74k-agreement-san-antonio-based-business. I hope you find this useful. Also, be sure to check out the complaints with the BBB, Yelp, Google, scam report, and Trip Advisor. Additionally, I spoke with a representative at the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs who are well aware of this company. Just giving you a starting point for your research, and hopefully, restitution.

My husband and I were vacationing in Charleston when we purchased our vacation club package. We were planning to go to Europe on a river cruise in the near future so thought this was a good idea from all their promises. Then the pandemic hit. Every where there was sickness. River cruise cancelled our trip and well they should have to keep people safe. I had...

Vacation Inspirations Not reputable company

I have tried using vacation Inspirations a number of times over the 3 years that we've had the membership. They claim to save you "a
minimum of 20% off, avg. of 40-60% and can be as high as 70%.
They often don't have properties where you want to go, their prices are
not competitive or they don't want to give you what your contract says.
My husband and I paid $2, 394 to join and have yet been able to use it.
Even on a cruise that I've been trying to book with them, I got a price
from Crucon Travel Agency with pre-paid gratuities and $100 SBC.
Vacation Inspirations said they couldn't give us the pre-paid gratuities
and even though the base price for the cruise was $759 and taxes
and fees was $137.46, they only wanted to give me my member rewards on $589. I even called Holland America to confirm and still
they argue with you. Don't deal with these people.

Vacation Inspirations Cancellation refusal

Beware of a company named Vacation Inspirations (Vacation Station). They sold a travel package in Savannah Ga, their office is in Mount Pleasant SC. I sent a letter to cancel within the 3 day period and they refuse to cancel. DO NOT BUY THIS. Call your Attorney General, Consumer complaint office and the FTC, the local police and sheriff. Warn others when you see them at the booth on a street pretending to offer maps!

I bought a vacation inspiration plan while visiting the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas about seven years ago. I love this plan. I have only used it for cruises as I have a couple of timeshares I use for condo stays. I have had nothing but great experience with this company and have saved a ton of money on cruising. It has definitely paid for itself over and over again.

We too were duped into a contract with this less then honest company. Still trying to cancel the "contract", Unreal they continue to do business and have escaped legal criminal prosecution. Civilly. they have paid out over 190, 000 thousand in damages. We should all get together and file a class action to get them off the street.

Attended the presentation on December 12, 2015 in Charleston, SC. Were offered 4 FREE weeks for us and 4 FREE weeks for our family and friends. The FREE weeks plus the minimum 20% reduced price of everything else prompted us to spend $6K. When we went to schedule our Free weeks, the staff said, "what free weeks?" They were a business and had no such thing as free weeks. We then called the customer support and they indicated the same, there are no free weeks. I then read the contract carefully and, as they said, there is now wording that says "free." Nonetheless, we did not make this up. We are now working on a cruise arrangement with them and watching very carefully. This is clearly a buyer beware group. Very unethical and downright lies.

This is just unfortunate that they are scumbags companies out there to take advantage. I just visited SC for the first time and sat through a 60 minute presentation offering free weeks 20 % back on travels, $599 for condos or 2 bedrooms with the high end vacation destinations . The company is call VACATION INSPIRATIONS AT 229 meeting street in SC . Do not fall for the scam . The took $4995 with nothing to offer us no one to take your calls or Concerns answer any questions . I tried sending emails it all came back mail failure . I made a complaint with BBB, attorney generals office and consumer affairs of SC . I also sent in a ceritify mail to 229 meeting street for my full refund . This just happen on the 6th so I am waiting to see what happens . Immediately when I realized it's a scam on the same day I call my credit card company and the refuse to cancel the transaction because it was in pending state I then was advised to wait until it was posted to file a dispute .which doesn't make any sense . Figners cross that I get my money back .

We traded in a condo in California that they were to sell and we would be out of it. Would not have to pay anymore maintenance fees, etc. After three years we are still paying the maintenance fees for the condo. Only used them once since then because we have to use up our points on the condo. They still have our power of attorney to sell the condo. Will not refund our money and release the condo back to us.

My husband and went to a Vacation Inspirations presentation in Savannah a couple of weeks ago. We are probably two of the most skeptical people on the planet and were surprised with ourselves when we decided to enter into a contract with them. We returned home the next day and found many complaints about the company on the internet. We immediately entered a dispute with our credit card company who got in touch with the company headquarters in SC. We were informed that we had 3 days to send a certified letter to the company in SC stating that we wished to cancel the contract and that after 3 days we would not be able to cancel. We did as we were instructed and received a full credit to our credit card the day after the company received our letter. We were not informed at the presentation that we could cancel within the 3 day period and we stupidly did not ask this important question. This information is on the back of the contract. This company may or may not be a scam, but we could not take the chance with our hard earned money. We are very pleased that our situation turned out as it did after reading other comments. We will never do anything like this again.

We went to the same address in Portland Oregon 9220 SW Barbur Blvd on 7/21/2012 a Nick Houghton presented the membership package. This is a TOTAL SCAM, we lost over $6000.00 and we have called, emailed to no avail. The email addresses come back as non deliverable. We will be filing a consumer complaint with the Oregon Attorney General's office. We will also be disputing the charges to our credit card "without our signature". If this has happened to you, file a report with the Attorney General, I believe this is our only hope of finding justice.
