I tried to work with this credit union but they are misusing customer data. They ask many questions about your personal lifestyle and habits that are neither standard nor necessary for a standard loan. It's clear that they are doing consumer research for sales, but they lie and say that they need it for the loan application. I was asked questions like "Why do you want a car?" which is just a stupid question, but then follow-up questions were "How often do you use Lyft/Uber?" so it was clearly a scam --- they had all of the necessary financial and credit information they needed to process my loan application but sent me three emails with follow-up personal information questions each time. When I asked what was going on the representative got defensive and aggressive. Never got my loan pre-approval even though they had pulled my credit report (I happen to know that my credit report is excellent) so this place is a scam and I would recommend trying a different credit union with transparent, ethical, lending practices.

I tried to get a car loan from Utah First Federal Credit Union, but they turned me down. They said it was because I had a medical loan and a closed account due to my car being stolen and wrecked. They also mentioned a charge off that wasn't even mine, and another account that wasn't mine either. It's frustrating because their advertisement claims that they say yes when everyone else says no, but that's not true. I have a good income and I can provide documents to support my case.

On June 12, I put a check in the mobile deposit thingy of Utah first credit union, where I've been a customer for like 15 years. I didn't know that since the tax refund check was made out to both me and my hubby, we both had to sign it and go to the branch in person to deposit it. I didn't know, so they said no to the check and didn't put any money in my account. The CU app sent a message, but they didn't tell me directly. No call, text, or mail to let me know about the mistake. I found out on June 21. I called the CU right away and sent the check again with both our signatures. (Look at the chat thingy I attached). I want them to give back any fees they charged me for the rejected check and if I went over my balance.
