After my vehicle broke down on a holiday weekend (Aug 31, 2019) I thought I was going to need a rental car for a week. Ended up repairing my vehicle enough to drive. Unfortunately didn't see that the out mileage was incorrect when rental car was picked up. Tried to call but no answer since there is only an attendant on duty for 2 hours per day. Returned the rental car less than 24 hours later (Sept 1, 2019). Noted the incorrect mileage with a request to call me back. Never received a call back. I realized I reserved the car for a week (res #[protected]) but didn't realize I'd be charged the full amount by returning within 24 hours. Very disappointed that Alamo charged me $473.31 and wasn't willing to work out a more appropriate rate. Tried to call location several time which was only open 2 hours per day and wasn't able to talk to anyone. Left several messages with no call back. Disputed the charge with credit card and finally received response back with a documented returned date of Sept 5, 2019 which was inaccurate. Will pay the full amount since I signed the agreement but disappointed they were unwilling to work on the charged amount and will no longer rent with them in the future.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
