My husband takes an immunosuppressant. CVS charges $333 for it. By using GoodRx, we found out that we can get it for $60 for the same number of pills at our nearest HEB store's pharmacy. The HEB pharmacy has been trying for two days to get the prescription transferred. The CVS pharmacy, store #8963, 118 E Harrison Street, Harlingen, Texas, is not answering their phones. The one time that CVS answered their phone, the CVS pharmacist told the HEB technician he would fax it when he could. That was yesterday, September 1, 2021. We are still trying today to get the prescription transferred, but CVS is still not answering the phone. My son and daughter-in-law actually went to the CVS store and no one would wait on them until my son made an issue of it. He was told that the HEB pharmacy would have to call them. My son told him that they had been calling but no one answers. The person he spoke with just laughed. And so my husband is still without his medication and is suffering because of it. He could go into a crisis and have to be hospitalized or worse.
Desired outcome: CVS transfers the prescription to the HEB pharmacy.
