On June 11 I went online to order some cigars. They had a discount code BET100 for $100 off a $350+ purchase. Said you could input code at check out. But when I got to checkout it finalized and charged full price. It was 9:23 pm and Customer Service didn’t open until next morning. I called the next morning and after a 30 minute hold finally got a real person. I explained and he said eventually there was nothing he could do. I then said just cancel the order. He said he could not cancel. He offered to send an e-mail with a discount but had to be used within 24-48 hours. I just ordered 75 cigars and wouldn’t want additional now. He said you can cancel within 30 minutes of order but at that time they didn’t have CS staffed. He told me I could refuse order. Not sure how that works when they transfer to USPS. First step I guess will be for me to call credit card and have charge reversed. I will not pay to have it shipped back. I don’t feel this is a good way to gain customer retention. I literally just returned to using them versus Famous Smokes. Very frustrated.
Desired outcome: Get an actual credit for $100 back to credit card.
