US Bank - Closed my account and won't return my money orders.

My stimulus payment was deposited into my savings account, and I withdrew it and purchased three money orders with it to pay a fine. I changed my mind and didn't want to send that much money in the mail. I opened a debit account at us bank, and the next day they closed my account, right after it was opened. Wondering why they did that, or even opened it to begin with if they thought the money orders were fraudulent.
This happened on April 1st, 2021. They sent me back the cash I had in the accounts a couple of days ago, but When I asked for the money orders, they told me that I should put a stop payment on them and request a refund. The branch refused to give them back to me.

This has caused a hardship on me, I am disabled and unemployed single woman. It costs $45 to put a stop payment on the money orders and 30 days to get a refund. I have been a good customer for over 5 years, and I shouldn't be treated poorly and unkindly like this.
What should I do? Can I legally get my money orders returned to me, that are mine and they are legitimate?

Sincerely,
Cynthia Dorn

Desired outcome: Get my money orders returned to me.
