Lowe's - Window install

I bought a window from Lowes in Watertown, NY and paid them to install it. It could not be installed by the time I left for the winter. A year later I was finally able to get it installed by C& H Construction. The owner had one employee install it one Saturday. The owner, Chris Morrell didn't stay the entire day. He was told and he understood that I had to leave that afternoon. I left finally at 5pm with the subcontractor still there. I was told that Chris would pick him up after helping another sub put in a bay window. He finally picked him up at 7pm. Meanwhile, the subcontractor took several things, including a gun which the State Police found when they tried to stop him. Apparently he is an illicit drug user. They caught him with the gun. Fortunately it wasn't used in anything illegal. This will cost me money in addition to loss of sleep. Should I sue Lowes for return of my installation? Sue Chris Morrell? Both? I've lost a lot of money travelling and missing work. I depended on Lowes to have vetted their 1099 employees. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Desired outcome: Replacement of monies

Lowe's - Countertops Lowes, Watertown, NY, August 5 'purchase' date

We are using Lowes credit card and their 6-month no interest plan for solid surface countertops. The installation will be delayed for two months, says the sales girl! It's a seasonal home and we're closing the home up in October for the winter and returning to our primary home 1200 miles away.

If this countertop is not installed before we leave, we are expected to continue paying for it each month until it is paid in full. Something about their scheduling adjustments versus their lack of adjustment to their repayment schedule is not fair. I want to consult with an attorney about this. Really need Lowes to start the payment requirement on the month the countertop is installed.. This is not done in any other business that I'm aware of where consumers are at the mercy of a subcontractor/installer! HELP?

Desired outcome: Pause the payment requirement until the product is installed
