Good evening, 
I am a Physician that called in a prescription for a patient and attempted to call to make a modification as it was an e-script and I could not make changes online. I called multiple times over the span on an hour, placed on hold for at least 15 minutes each time by the automated system to reach the pharmacist and punched all numbers on phone to say I was a provider calling in a prescription. This was between 9pm and 10 pm tonight on 03/23/2019.
I then attempted calling the front of the office several times and spoke to 2 different male staff working and communicated why my call and speaking to the pharmacist was extremely important as it was a change in medication. I was placed on hold multiple times again and did not get to speak to someone again. 
I attempted to call back again after the 4th attempt and now there was no longer even an automated message system, just phone ringing and then going to voicemail. 
This is absolutely unacceptable and although it is the only 24 hour pharmacy open at this hour, I will be more than hesitant to send any prescriptions to this location as this is worrisome and I fear for patient safety if communication is so difficult between a physician and pharmacy staff. I work at a major urgent care and a lot of the prescriptions are sent to this location.
The pharmacist on staff tonight was Henry from what I was told by the front staff, but unfortunately I never got to go further than this. This is poor behavior and I am very disappointed. I understand one can be busy but to attempt calling for an hour and getting nowhere is unacceptable.
