My fiance rented a vehicle from October 17-21 for a wedding we attended in Asheville, NC. We returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas and in mint condition the morning of the 21st. We returned the car without issue. Your employee scanned the vehicle and gave us to go ahead to be on our way. Fast forward, we receive a later dated 10/22/19 from Damage Recovery Unit for supposed paint damage trailing from the backseat to the front. Paint damage? We were in NC for a wedding. The only thing that sat in the backseat of the car was a suit. We never purchased paint. We never had a need for paint. Yet, Alamo claims we caused paint damage that's apparently going to cost them exactly $2k to fix. Alamo, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This is no way to treat paying customers - with false allegations! We wish we would've read all your negative reviews prior to renting with you. Paint? Really? This is ridiculous! We have yet to receive proof of this supposed damage either.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
