On 01/14/2021, after refusing to patronize McDonald's for over a year because of their frequency of getting orders wrong, I caved and went back. Sadly, my prior negative experiences failed to bring to my mind a reminder to CHECK THE BAG. Sure enough, they got it wrong. PRINTED on the order, clear as can be, were the details -- 1 sausage burrito, 1 mild picante [sauce], 1 hash brown, 1 m premium roast [coffee], and ADD 2 cream. There was NO mild picante in the bag and NO cream in the coffee. Naturally I did not discover their lack of quality control until I got to work. I returned to the sorry excuse of a store after work with the cold burrito and asked for a refund. The manager refused. She instead wanted to collect my name and address and said they would give me coupons. Given that I NEVER INTEND TO FREQUENT MCDONALDS EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE, I do not want coupons. The store manager apparently does not have the power to issue a $2 refund! How sad is that. Instead, McDonald's now has a disgruntled customer who will spread his negative experience far and wide.
Desired outcome: McDonald's should issue me a $2 refund and not in the form of coupons.
