I brought my 2004 car in for an appointment to repair a slow leak in the front left tire.
After a short time, I was told that my tires are over 10 years old and that they cannot touch them. That the law required tires to be replaced after 10 years and I should not have to pass inspection. The salesperson gave me an offer on 4 new tires with a $50 rebate. Since this a mandated law, I bought the tires and waited. I returned home and within 2 hours the same front tire was below 10 pounds of air even with the new tires. I spent good money and time with Firestone and they did not fix my problem.
I checked with the state inspection code and there is no failure for inspections due to tire age. It is strictly condition regardless of age. I called the firestone store and they said I can bring it back in two days since I have to wait for the repairs to be done. I was also told that it could be my rim
After 4 new tires, I may now have to buy rims? I am a senior citizen, and I am concerned that I am being taken advantage of my car has less than 50000 miles on it. The $50 rebate that the salesperson stated does not come up on the firestone rebate website.
Desired outcome: can i trust a second visit or take my car to another company?.
