Visionworks of America - Customer service

I have been calling Vision Works to get a prescription that was allegedly filled after an exam that they reschedule 3 weeks after my initial appointment. After three weeks and three phone calls to inquire about an order that has already been billed and paid by the insurance company as well as my co-pay a rude and inpatient store manager "lewis" hung up the phone. The bill was in excess of $400.00. I reminded him that he gave me the same excuse last week when I called stating that they were in the mail. I corrected him when he said he understood my frustration and informed him that I was angry that he told me the same thing last week, they still do not have my contacts, and he not I elevated the tone of the conversation. I asked to speak to the manager again. He said he was the manager and since he was not getting anywhere with this call he was going to place the order again and he "hung up the phone"! I called my insurance carrier who advised that the order was being processed and that the store would call me back. The call back was a rude and very unprofessional store manager who did not provide customer service but instead hung up the phone. Today, October 4th was my third attempt to get the status of my contacts. The response was they are in the mail. A tiny little package went from UPS to USPS. If this is the kind of service we are paying for I would highly recommend a different place for glasses and contacts. The store is in Tinley Park. I was there for less than 20 minutes on September 19th. The doctor used my old contacts and my old glasses in his evaluation before writing a prescription. It took less than 20 minutes to bill me and my insurance company over $400.00 but it's taking almost a month to get a simple prescription which is the same prescription I had before. The delay would not be as difficult to tolerate if the manger wasn't so incredibly unprofessional and rude. Whatever he is being paid is too much!
