Around noon today, I shopped around in Costco with my friends. When lining up for checking out, I forgot putting the divider between my purchased from my previous customer, the cashier, whose name tag was flipped over, told me what I should do with very rude attitude, almost like scolding. What's more, during the check out time--I only bought 5 items, she stopped scanning my purchase a couple of times to chat with the cashier next aisle. She became very jumpy when I asked her to show me her name tag, she thought I wanted to complain her to her supervisor, turned out she went to her supervisor whose name is Ben, who happened to be around, to rumble something angrily. I started to explain what she did, how she did, and told Ben, I didn't like her attitude, neither like her absent-minded when she was serving me. Ben apologized with poker face, persuaded us to continue the check out. But the cashier, named Angela, refused to continue serving us. Ben, somehow replaced her to check us out. I don't know how Costco trains their employees, and why the supervisor or manager can spoil their staff in that way. Hope Costco will improve their service, and increase their bar when recruit staff.
The Costco at 1430 S Ashland Ave, Chicago, IL 60608, named Angela.
Why is it okay for you to be absent minded and forget to put the divider between purchases and not okay for her to be absent minded when checking out your items? Sounds like you have some growing up to do.
