With the recent onset of cold weather I turned on my heat in my car and much to my surprise it only blew cold air. I took the car over to Pep Boys on Rand Road and spoke to Dave Reynolds the service rep. I told him that I thought the thermostat wasn't opening. He said he would have to runs some tests to diagnosis the problem. Later he called to tell me there was a leak in the radiator and it would have to be replaced. I agreed to this repair. I went into pay and pick up the vehicle upon completion of the work. Then I drove away assuming it was fixed. Yet it was still blowing cold air no heat. I immediately took it back and they said they would have to look at it the next day. Then they called and said the radiator was only part of the problem. The needed to replace an actuator that required the dash to be removed and it would entail additional charges. After agreeing to have this fixed. I picked up the car and discovered that the radiator was never replaced! The total cost of all this work was over $1200.00. I had been a long term customer of this Pep Boys, and I am disappointed in their lack of integrity and their deceptive trade practices.
Customer Stated that he had "no Heat" when vehicle was brought into the shop it was discovered that the radiator was leaking and that needed to be fixed before any other work could be done the bill was more then he was willing to pay also the fan was not working it ended up needed a module for the blower motor after that was replaced the customer gave a go ahead and replace the heater core this was all done at his request! The vehicle was there for 3-4 days as this guy decided to do the work one peace at a time!
