I purchased new a Harley Davidson Street 750 from dealer Bruce Rossmeyer Daytona in 2017 and have had a bad experience with their Service department.
April 13, 2019, It was still under warranty, I dropped it off for replacement of the defective front fender in which the paint peeled halfway off. Also, I wanted a battery installed.
April 22, 2019, After 9 days I received a phone call from service telling me they need to install a cable for the battery which I agreed. Service gave me no update on the warranty repair.
May 2, 2019, I call service, ask why this is taking so long. service tells me bike still is not finished and they do not have a warranty for the defective front fender. I tell them this should have been taken care of weeks ago.
May 2, 2019. I call service and leave 2 messages for Mike Turner-service manager to call me with an update on the warranty repair. I've received no return call from the service manager.
May 2, 2019, A service tech calls me and tells me that next week on Monday May 6 BRUCE ROSSMEYER DAYTONA will need to submit a warranty claim to Harley Davidson and they will get back to me.(23 DAYS later after dropping my bike off).
May 7, 2019. I still have not received a return call from Mike Turner-Service Mgr and I do not know what is happening with my motorcycle.
1-A battery install should not take this long.
2-It was clear to the service tech the front fender paint was defective for it to peel halfway off. Why does it take 3 weeks to submit a warranty claim or did they?
I purchased this Street 750 because of its low weight to tow behind my RV and not because of the price, I can afford larger bikes. I have owned numerous motorcycles but never a Harley Davidson.
This has been a bad experience with a defective front fender and bad experience with BRUCE ROSSMEYER DAYTONA.
I may look to other Dealers/Manufactures for future purchases.
