Walmart - Coach Gabriella Swann Store 705

On multiple occasions I've been denied PPTO leave from her, been verbally abusive towards other employees with 20+ years of experience who have ended up crying. Complains about our productiveness while she's scrolling Instagram on her phone. On many instances people have noticed her posting selfies online while in the coaches office. Was approved from my team lead to use PPTO while sick and received a call afterwards saying "we're going to have a problem". She has left early on multiple occasions because she didn't want to be there and is constantly talking down on us.

Desired outcome: Gabriella needs to be talked to by store leads. Id like a chance to change departments if possible.

FL Dub did you actually witness, possibly document and have proof to back up each and every one of the accusations you're making? The days she left early how do you know that they weren't scheduled? Or were approved because of an emergency? Do you do the scheduling for employees? Or are you just putting this stuff up because you didn't get your way and or maybe misunderstood her? If not and it's all hearsay then you need to stop putting stuff like this online you can get into some serious trouble over it. Just so you know.

Walmart - Gabrielle Swan

January 16th 2023 after Mark one of my coworkers complained about how the men in the back were being treated on truck and how another associate was performing Gabby felt the need to pull Mark aside and tell him that he complains too much, causes scenes and is being a "debby downer". In what way is that how a coach should talk to an associate? The other associate was only ever talked to about his productivity but was never coached or terminated for any of his low productivity after multiple occurrences. It got to the point where instead of taking any action against him he was relocated. But when it comes to me for my productivity I'm coached and terminated.

Time of occurrence - Wednesday, February 1st of 2023.

I was a coworker up until yesterday and believe I was wrongfully terminated for an invalid and stupid reason. Our store hasn't been the greatest for awhile because of recent remodels and not having a lot of employees. Currently, for multiple days in a row, me and other associates have been put in the backroom vizpicking by ourselves. The area for vizpicking is not exactly small and usually takes about 3 people to get everything 100% done including downstacks. My schedule is different from everyone else's because the other associates come in at 2 and I come in at 3, so of course I would be starting later than other people. I got to work at 3 and went to the GM backroom to look for Gabby. I found her and she pulled me aside to talk to me about the 14th that I had requested off so by this time it's around 3:12. I leave to go fix that problem in the computer room but couldn't figure it out so I had to do it on my phone. By the time I left the computer room it was about 3:25. I walk to the grocery backroom to start vizpicking but there are things that need to be done first. I have to look for a top stock cart to use, a pallet jack, and pallets to put the freight on. Obviously this takes time so I didn't finish this until around maybe 3:50, sometime close to that. Then I started to pick everything and when I say everything, I mean everything that turns blue no matter where it's at. I started with pets, finished that. Moved on to candy, finished that. Lastly, I had started to do a little of 2 long chemical bins but had to go on break at 5. My phone needed to charge a little before break so I could continue. So I left to get something to drink and used the restroom and came straight back. After I came back I had left for break at 5:03 and came back around 5:18. I go back to chemicals to finish up the bins which usually take about an hour and a half or so because there is so much. I finished around 6:40. Then I transfered the chemicals pallets and tops took carts to the grocery backroom to relocate and to get started in there. It took me about 10 minutes because of customers and stuff. When I finish I start on a smaller bin that was closest to the chemicals because I didn't have much time left before my hour break. I finish the one small bin and the bottom section of another bin. Before clocking out for my hour I was waiting on my ride for lunch so I went to use the restroom and then clocked out at 7:15 when they were finished. Came back from my hour at 8:12 and there were already downstacks in the backroom. I had been yelled at before for not doing downstacks when they came so of course in gonna stop picking to do them. As I'm doing them, the overnight coach Jessie walks back there to talk to me and ask what everything was and I told her that there's not much picks because I've been by myself all day and she says "Okay, that's fine. When you're done with downstacks, if you have time try to do some more picking". I agreed and went back to work. I had come close to finishing the first downstack but took my last 15 at 9 so I wasn't taking it so late at 10. I come back from that at 9:15 and continue to finish the downstack. I finish that one and Jose brings in another one and I get started on that one. I didn't know what time it was but Gabby at some point after 9 20 came to the backroom and asked me why picking wasn't done. My response to her was I've been back here by myself, I've done what I could and of course it's not going to get done when we don't have the man power for it. She thought that that wasn't an excuse and the picks that I had gotten done in that short time wasn't enough for her. She clearly had headphones in because she got a call from someone and I didn't here the ring tone or what the person was saying but she responded to them. She leaves and comes back about 10 minutes later to tell me to stop downstacks and pull everything that she was about to pick from one of the grocery bins. She didn't pick everything even though she enforces it on use to pick everything so I took a video of all the blue ones that she missed. I took everything that was green out of the bins and separated them onto their pallets, which took about 30 to 35 minutes or so. I finish that and go to clear off the pets and candy top stock cart that I had done earlier and without even taking 3 things off of it I get called over the intercom to go to the coaches office. When I get there she asked me why picking wasn't getting done and I told her again I did what I could in the time I had and we just don't have enough people back there. You can't finish vizpicking with one person and expect downstacks to also get done. It's impossible. She refused to accept anything I had to say and refused to accept any witnesses I had to offer to back me up. She swore that what she was seeing on the computer was correct and that me and 7 other people were gonna be wrong when they said the same thing? She then asked me how many days out of the week I worked and I said 5. I don't understand what that had to do with it but her response was "no you don't, because I never see you 5 days out of the week". We don't have the same schedule. She had my profile on the screen and was gonna tell me that I don't know my schedule and how many days I work? And then she proceeded to terminate me because me, one person, left by myself to pick when 3 people on Sunday couldn't even get it done, didn't get all of the picks done. It's impossible for 1 person to do it with as many picks as there is and them wanting us to pick every single thing that turns blue. In the time that I had I believe I did a good job and did what I could.

There is so much miscommunication between team leads and coaches it's unreal. I have witnesses to this conversation. I spoke with my team lead Jade about coming in on a day that I was scheduled because I needed the hours. I wasn't scheduled the whole week. Jade agreed and said that was fine. I go to go in that Tuesday and after the meeting and after Jade had assigned me to a position, Gabby felt the need to send me home just because she wasn't informed about me coming in and I couldn't work when I wasn't scheduled. Even after I had gotten permission. It wasn't my fault the information wasn't passed along to her and that's a miscommunication between the two of them. There was even another occurrence recently that I was present for but it was other coworkers who were in the backroom picking and were told after lunch by Jade herself to help her on GM front pad and Gabby coached them for not finishing picking because she didn't know that Jade had pulled them away. How is that their fault and why are they getting punished for that? That's miscommunication between team lead and coach for using the two associates.

I was coached a few weeks ago for sitting on a top stock cart. It was reasonable and I understood that. I got a yellow for it and I wasn't mad about that. The important thing about it though was Jessica was sitting right next to me on pallets which is also not allowed the same day that I was sitting on the top stock cart and she didn't get talked to or coached for it. Why am I the only one getting any disciplined?

There have been multiple days where I have worked in the backroom by myself and didn't get all of the picks done. Not once before did I get talked to about anything I had done. Some days I wouldn't even start on grocery, I would do chemicals first and still nobody had said anything to me about grocery being more important and why did I start somewhere else. January 4th I was by myself and nobody said anything to me about what I had gotten done and what didn't. January 5th I was by myself again and no one said anything to me. There was a day an associate working in the back with me left early and another associate was pulled to go unload truck leaving me by myself again and not once did Gabby show up to ask where the associate went and if I needed help to finish picking or downstacking.

There have been multiple times where other employees have complained to me about Gabby not doing her duties as a coach. DeMarcus has seen her multiple times on her phone walking through the halls on call with her friends. Yesterday, February 1st she got a call right next to me and I didnt hear it ring and she was clearly talking to someone without the phone being to her ear. Which obviously tells me that she had her headphones in and her hair was covering them. James caught her on Instagram posting stories while she was still working. Mark told me she didn't even know what lane 4 was on the truck and she didn't know what high tickets were on the truck when as a coach you need to know how to do everything. Before she was an overnight coach and employees from overnight were also complaining about her as well.
