Cracker Barrel - Store Manager Keith Baker, in Store, #341, Butler Blvd Jacksonville, FL

I am writing as the mother of one of Cracker Barrel's employee's. Yesterday, August 31st my daughter - Cammille went into work for her regular scheduled shift. A couple of hours into her shift we had some events happen here at home and I needed her to come home. I called the store and spoke to the Hostess and she said she would get the message to my daughter. Cammille then went to Keith and Sean another Mgr and they told her if it's not an emergency then she shouldn't leave. They told her to contact me. Which she did but I missed the call. I called again and asked to speak to Keith. I spoke with Keith and told him directly that we needed my daughter at home and she needed to leave - he wasn't understanding or considerate of what was happening here and gave me attitude on the phone. (I have never called my daughter out of work and wouldn't have if we didn't have this situation going on at home). He went directly to my daughter and told her "You can leave Camm... we don't need you to bring the drama here." and immediately erased her name off the whiteboard and told her to let him know if she was going to work the rest of her shifts for the week. Very unprofessional and the fact that he did this in front of other employees. By the time my daughter got home - he had taken all the shifts away from my daughter for the week. I immediately called to talk to him - told him how unprofessional and disrespectful he was and that he needed to learn how to create a better work environment for his staff. I also asked to hear what his side of the story was and when he told me what happened he left out everything about how he spoke to my daughter in front of others. Keith needs better management and people skills if he is going to keep staff. I gave him notice that my daughter would no longer be working there.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology from him towards my daughter and he needs training to learn how to handle employee's and personal situations that may happen.
