I purchased a microwave from the Goodwill store on Kelly Johnson Blvd in Colorado Springs. I was told I had 30 days to return it with the original tag on it, and with the reciepts. It was filthy inside. After cleaning it and letting it air out, I got busy with work and didn't get around to testing it. By time I did, I found that after about 7-8 seconds of running, it would shut off and emit a foul, burnt smell. I took it back to the store the following day, as I work nights and am usually only awake after stores are closed. The original sticker was still on it, and I brought the reciept. I was told they don't have enough time to test their merchandise and refused a refund by the manager, and asked to leave.
No apology for selling non functional merchandise, no refund option or store credit offered.
Goodwill has permanently lost my business, and I will never recommend donating to or buying from them to anyone I talk to.
Desired outcome: I just wanted my $50 back. I'm not a wealthy person, I bought a microwave from Goodwill... That's two days worth of food.
