My husband was fired last wendsday from the king Soopers store located at 19711 east Smoky hill road in Centennial Colo. He had Several Seizures at this exact store location! On December of 2013 he was diagnosed with a grade three brain tumor and was rushed to the emergency room. He had to undergo Chemotherapy and has to take seizure medication for the rest if his life! His neurologist and Dr stated that he can't work more then 8 hours and he needed to take breaks has needed. His boss Amanda would constantly harrass, belittle and degrade him. She would make him work 10 and 12 hour shifts and complain about his breaks. On December 4, 2019 Arzoo, and Taylor another assistant fired him saying that he cussed at Amanda and that's why he was suspended but when she really cussed at him in front of WITNESSES! After this they said he was violent but they have no violence on camera and he has again Witnesses disproving her false claims and lies. Also they let him come back to work the next day. He has NEVER in his life been violent. Then they had hand written times on only him and they were only watching him on camera! The management at this store is completely horrible and yet Kroger still keeps them and allows this!
This situation has NOT been resolved! They don't help you at all on this board they only harass you more! It's probably a site for Corporate!
This was all approved through his employer King Soopers and by LAW yes you do have to let employees take breaks . You really should learn your labor laws first and foremost because it's illegal not to let employees take breaks and it's also illegal to go against DRS ORDERS!
As a long time and regular King Soopers shopper, I have become so disappointed in this brand that I am going to be shopping at the nearby Walmart. Today was the icing. My Highlands Ranch store is full of employees who clearly do not care about service or at least they didn't again tonight. I regularly order my groceries for pick up and today was the last straw for me. The order was placed for pick up between 5 and 6 and this week there was no call or text to tell us they couldn't do it so I showed u at 5:50 just to have Brandon come out and tell me that the order was not ready and wouldn't be ready for at least 45 minutes. he had an attitude as if it were my fault and I told him that it was unacceptable to at lease not receive a phone call to save me the wasted trip. He became very defensive, raised his voice and said that three employees quit and there are only two employees filling orders and that they didn't have time for phone calls. I advised him I would be contacting the store manager. I went home and called the store and requested to speak with a manager, I spoke briefly with Juanita who advised she was just the front end manager and that she would transfer me to Jo Jo the Assistant Store Manager. I spoke to Jo Jo who advised she was the assistant Manager and that the Manager was out of town. I explained what had happened and she again advised they were short staffed. I understand short staffing, and asked her why they continue to allow appointments to be booked when they know they can't fulfill them? Jo Jo advised that it was the system and the system wouldn't allow for any considerations. I asked for a number to reach the District Manager and was told that she didn't have a number and that I would have to call the main number for King Soopers and go through them to reach him. She did tell me his name was Sean Cornelius.I hate posting in this fashion but absent some means to contact a live person who is capable of helping, this was my last resort. Final thought, when we did receive a call an hour after pick up time, we immediately went and picked up and upon unpacking found our produce broken in half (cucumber) and what was obviously the worst onion that could have been found with obvious browning and multiple soft spots. Very sad King Soopers and Kroger!
