I have always been under the assumption, perhaps falsely, that the pharmacist was not supposed to give you drugs that you were allergic to.

I have cell phone listed as something I’m allergic to. A few months ago from the pharmacy I got anointment, gentamicin sulfate, I didn’t notice the sulfate, and my whole face broke out in a big rupture because I was applying it locally to my face. I came back a month ago and lo and behold picked up the same drug. I tried to return it to the pharmacy and the pharmacist said too bad, and would not give me my money back. I complain to customer service three times. I still not getting my money back.
