I normally have no issues with donating my plasma at the san marcos' branch of biolife in california, for going on 2 years now, off and on. Recently though, I have had my concerns. On 10/21/2023, in the latter part of the afternoon, one of the older phlebotomist technicians, whom i've noticed over the weeks just does the final needle withdraw, arm bandaging and procuring the donations back to the storage room, gave me cause for alarm. When he removed the needle his manner was so shaky and unskilled, that my blood from the entry site went all over the place, floor, my arm, on his person, it was an unpleasant and painful ending to say the least, and worrisome. Although daniel seems a kind and well-meaning person, and I was hesitant to make this complaint because I do not age discriminate, however, if one is unable to fulfill a job duty, particularly one dealing with blood donors and considering their safety - (that technician should be on top form like most of the staff there is), I think daniel might need to have a review and skill assesment from his managers, and perhaps consider new fields of occupation and employment.
Claimed loss: Blood
Desired outcome: Staff review. Aptitude assessment.
