I made an appointment online for the LabCorp location a 501 E Hardy St Ste 150, Inglewood, CA 90301. I had to take time off work, find child care for my child so that he can do his online class, and paid for parking. I checked in via my phone and waited in my car, because I am high risk for COVID. I waited for over an hour with no text alert saying a lab technician was ready to see me. I entered the building to check on my appointment only to find a locked door with no one available to speak to. I called the location multiple times and was sent to voicemail each time. I am extremely upset that no one notified me that this location was closed and that there was no one on call that I could reach. I am also upset that the online check in option was still working even though no one was in the lab. I am even more frustrated at the fact that I had to pay $12 for parking to sit in my car and waste my time. It is now two hours after my appointment and the online check in system still says I am already checked in and to wait in my car until I am called in (see attached picture). This is very unprofessional! I have never experienced anything like this with LabCorp locations, except for this one. Never coming back to this lab!
Desired outcome: A reimbursement for my parking fee of $12; improved communication to patients when lab is closed
