We are planning a protest march in front of Massage Envy in Beverly Hills, on January 29, 2011 @10:00 am. The plan is to enlighten the public of the scam this company is involved in. There are thousands of complaints all across the U.S. and it has not only been because of my story, but the stories you have written about. IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT! I know I ask them 3 times about loss of massages and the kept assuring me that you never loose the massages. Well, I have 17 on my account and I can't get them unless I continue to pay. I think that's called EXTORTION! How is it that you have to pay more money to use a service you have already paid for. It's the old bait and switch. I have paid the for 17 massages @ $59.00 each which means I have paid them over $1, 000.00 for nothing. I refuse to go away, which is what their betting on. Well, they are going to have to work for that money. Many people don't realize contracts can be ruled as illegal in the court system and that is where I'm going next. I would hope that people will contact, the Better Business Bureau and their States Attorney General's Office as many of these have websites and you can file online. We just saw what happened in this country with Wall Street, the Banks and Big Business now small business are joining in with them to steal the rest of the money in our pockets. PSUGUY I travel to California a lot for business, I happen to have a home and family in your neck of the woods. So what you're really saying that people from your state of North Carolina are a few ounces short of a pound, including you. We happen to already have over 50 people and the number is still growing. Theres contracts. and then theres unethical borderline illegal contracts. Just because some people are less educated doesnt mean its right ot take advantage of that, especially when trusting people just take their verbal word for it and sign the dotted line. This contract is not mutually beneficial, it strongly favors the business not the individual, leaving no recourse for someone wanting to end their membership.
Theres is such a thing as good customer service. Being a MEMBER shouldnt mean being trapped in a binding contract that zaps your funds even long after you want it to stop! Thousands of thousands of people are complaining, yes we all are so irresponsible that we all didnt read our contract and now are complaining. Well guess what, maybe theres more to it than we signed so we must obey. Its called common descency, good customer service, something we all expect. We are always trying to blame others huh? well what about massage envy blaming thousands upon thousands of people for being stupid and signing up for their scam instead of just taking responsibility for being corrupt and unethical business.
CONTRACTS CAN BE BROKEN. JUST BECAUSE YOU SIGNED ONE DOESNT MEAN IT IS ENFORCEABLE, LEGAL, LEGITIMATE, AND ETHICAL OR WOULD HOLD UP IN COURT. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO FILE A SMALL CLAIMS LAWSUIT, YOU WILL WIN! LOOK UP "CONTRACT OF ADHESION" THE JUDGE ALMOST ALWAYS FAVORS THE PLAINTIF NOT THE UNETHICAL STRONG ARM TACTICS OF THE BUSINESS.
