Sonic Drive-In - put veggies on side

I ordered a country fried steak combo and the only request I made was to put the lettuce and tomatoes on the side. I live 26 miles from town so I wanted my veggies fresh and not wilted . I was assured that the cook would do it with no problem. When I got home the lettuce was awful and the tomatoes were not ripe and hard to even try to bite into it!
