Walmart - cruelty

I had gone to the wal- mart super center on zero st in fort smith ar. and planned on buying fish. But what I saw was awful these fish are severly negleted there were dead fish stuck to the filtration systems. The tanks were green from algea and there were other fish just floating there dying. and as usual noone around. I know some people would think theirj ust fish no big deal. but I bet that the ASPCA or PETA would not think the same, i hope that this does get taken care of ASAP. they are living breathing creatures.

I am over the pet dept in my walmart in West Virginia. I too have noticed how neglected the fish are in many walmart pet depts. I just recently took over the pet dept and the last supervisor never cleaned the tanks or removed dead or dying fish. They were rarely fed and at most times didn't have enough water. I made a promise to my co-associates, my customers and myself that the pet dept, especially the fish tanks, would see a great improvement. My customers have already noticed the difference and i am proud to say that after taking over i have not had the first fish to die or show any signs of sickness what so ever. Please don't blame walmart but do ask your local store if they can hire more help for their pet depts or move a more responsible and caring person.
