Midas

March 8, 2023, I had brakes installed at Midas in Hoover, AL (1697 Montgomery Highway). The cost was $563.85. March 23, 2023 (15 days after the brakes work), the brake light came on and I had no brakes. March 23, 2023, I took my car back to Midas. I was told I needed an appointment. I was given an appointment for March 24, 2023. I did not have an appointment, March 8, 2023. March 24, 2023, I was told that the repairs would be $978.23. After that repair, they would let me know what additional repairs I would need and how much it would cost. Midas damaged my car. After I told him not to do the work, the manager tried to force me to sign a blind document. He refused to give me my key. When I was leaving with my extra key, he ran out to give me my key. I was cheated, disrespected and mistreated. I contacted the President and CEO, store owner and Better Business Bureau. Midas has not responded to me or to BBB. From the reviews, this is common for Midas.
