Troy-Bilt review: Does not honor warranty

We recently bought a new Troy-bilt mower after our old one finally gave up after 10 years of hard use. Well after the first 10 minutes this new one fell apart. After inspecting the damage I found that the front and rear wheel assemblies are held on by cheap plastic clips and after the first bump in the yard it came off and got damaged. I contacted Troy-bilt Customer Service and they refused to honor the warranty or even help out with parts to repair this cheaply made product. They claim that since we bought it from an online retailer that is not one of their Distributors they would not help us out, even though this is their product and is brand new. I myself work for a major equipment manufacturer and we take care of our customers regardless of where they bought the equipment from, it is still our product. Shame on you Troy-bilt! Very disappointing, needless to say we will never buy another Troy-bilt product again
